    Yes, its just the book only focuses on the Alien aspect, so it mostly relates to the alien-exclusive side of things, since its written with an in-universe perspective of someone who used to research xenos and similar, so from that, of course they wouldn't mention preds, since its not the "researcher's" area of expertise. Apparently they (as in FOX themselves) do consider the predator to exist in the same universe, with them being subtly teased when you input "predator" into the MUTHUR thing that used to be on the official Alien website. It said like "higher clearance required" instead of the generic "no information known" for any "invalid" inputs. Though technically the book mentioned Fire and Stone, which does have both an Alien, a Predator, an AvP, and a Prometheus chapter, so there's that much. As for not going to in-detail with the predator stuff, I'm assuming its since the (real) writer didn't know if The Predator was gonna retcon anything or not, so he wanted to just be safe and not mentioned it much, outside of FnS.


    Its just that it didn't mentioned AvP 2010, since its kinda in that nebulous stage, since it may relate too much to the "predator" side of things, too much for the "researcher" to mention it. For example, biology uses chemistry, but you wouldn't expect a biologist to super well-vised in chemistry.


    But as far as AvP 2010 goes, we already added the few unique things is showed off, such as the cryotubes, combat synths, lasermines, and the preatorian. The rest is stuff that has already existed before in one of the series. And I'm not counting the structures, for obvious reasons.

    when was AVP 2010 ever canon and why is it no longer that?


    For the longest time, the Alien canon was never really solidified, so we just had to guess. However recently an official book from FOX titled "Weyland-Yutani Report" was released that outlined the official timeline, which only included Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Isolation, Prometheus, Covenant (though it did it in a kinda vague way, since the film was not actually out by then), and the Fire and Stone comics. Since AvP 2010 wasn't included, we can assume its not canon.

    There is one very tiny issue, with exactly 3 missing textures, for Unidentified wood, Redstone Sensor and Redstone emitter. If someone has those particular textures I would appreciate them kindly.


    The 2 redstone things aren't complete. The wood has a texture though, at least when placed.

    just like in prometheus when you get in the medpod to remove the facehugger or another entity a machine can hold it so you can see the creature

    Fun fact, you can't just say "Add" and expect us all to add it just since you said it. Also lemme break this down for you...

    • No. Royal huggers are no longer considered canon and as such, won't be something you can obtain in survival. They're only kept in the mod due to the legacy clause. Queens are not hard to come by either.
    • Predators won't "reward" you for killing another. In fact we plan to make preds much more powerful and deadly soon, they won't be tech cattle and they will have more "triggers" for when they will attack you.
    • The mobs already make their death sound when it happens
    • There will be no way to tame any morphs in the mod. That includes neos and protos. The reason they didn't attack David is they could "smell" he was not human, and thus, it kinda broke their "programming" as you will, as both neos and prots are meant to kill all biological animal life. Since David looked biological, but wasn't, it kinda confused them so they instead observed him since they couldn't figure out what he was.
    • We need to redo the APC in general. I'm thinking about getting a guest artist to remodel it for us tbh.
    • We won't make a way to facilitate impregnation or what not. However we have a plan to remove busters, then put them in a fetus pod (those small clear pods seen in Covenant), which can then be placed in a cryotube. However the fetus pods can't hold them forever and will decay unless used after so long. Likewise AvP 2010 is no longer canon.
    • Seems like a lot of work for no reason, since the medpod just deletes the mob, also would make the last point pretty pointless

    Also all those issues you have said have already been reported so many times on our discord its not funny. Its our main platform and its best to join us there if you want to talk to us directly as well as see spoilers and such. Also preds and engies killing a hugger on them makes sense no? Unlike a pig or whatever, preds/engies would know what a hugger is and what fate awaits them, so they would try to use the hugger's on acid to kill them and the embryo inside. And before you say "but muh lab/artificial hive?" that's not the point of the mod. Its not to let you run experiments on mobs. Sure you can do that, but that's not what the "goal" of the mod is. Play with fire, risk burning up your surroundings.

    Well we stopped with updating 1.7.10 entirely, we've move to 1.12.2 now and its our main version. For all I can recall since then...

    • Acheron rocks got a total makeover, Acheron also has some nice ambiance fog now
    • Shaped block system was overhauled. Its now more like Carpenter's Blocks, as in a few shaped blocks you can apply textures to instead of a unique shaped block set for all AvP blocks
    • Some new machines: CCFL tube lights, as well as Network Racks (the latter will get more functionality later)

    • The "Common Deacon Adult" was added. An engineer-based one will come soon

    • Queens were changed, they no longer lay eggs constantly and its now tied to their hive size, so no more egg spam or jelly fountains erupting from the ground

    • Start of Paradise-we added all the base blocks and a non-functional spore pods mob. Many of the trees are build and just waiting to be added
    • Varda trees will get an overhaul right after the trilobite stuff. They now have unique-looking leaf blocks (unique model and willow-like), and their textures were overhauled to better fit.
    • The Nostromo/Sevastopol flamethrower got a fresh model
    • Added more skulls: queen, giger alien (new mob that will come later), aethon (based off its new TBA model), neomorph, and protomorph, for when those 2 mobs are added later.
    • Lots of general bugs were stomped out

    However its best to join our discord and hang out there, we show off all sorts of new stuff and give out spoilers.

    We also have a new public server. It uses my modpack (A Minecraft Odyssey 2) and is survival-based.

    Also in general, we've shifted the focus on development away from xenos, as they were the main focus in 1.7.10. We're mostly focusing on goo-based things and preds now.

    Depends on your settings. Xenomorphs should spawn in Acheron and are the only creatures you will find there natively. Since xenomorphs are hostile, make sure you're not in peaceful mode. Also make sure you have xenos set to spawn in the dimension and that "autospawning" is still enabled. And the 1.12.2 version has the content of all previous versions, but we still plan to add more later, but things you had in 1.7.10 and 1.10.2 are still in 1.12.2, the only difference is the shaped blocks work differently now.

    No, nothing from Covenant has been added yet. Neos, protos, Paradise itself, and some other things will all be part of one big update to be released at once. Its best to join the mod's discord for updates, along with potential spoilers for neos/protos/other Covenant content, and more

    AvP doesn't use dim ID 2, it only used 426 and 223, it must be with another of your mods. Though I'm fairly sure you can change the AE2 dim ID.
