Minecraft will be launching exclusively on Xbox Kinect this winter.
Don't get what This winter means? Well, since minecraft's release date is NOVEMBER 11, I'm pretty sure that this is after the release date, besides a completely seperate team will be working on it! This means that updates will still be regular, because the same team that has been working on minecraft, will still be working on minecraft!

How much does the server cost per month? Just want to know so that I can donate an amount that isn't funky (like donating $15 for a $10/month) I got paid recently so I can donate for a bit to keep the server up.

On another note, I think towns could also have player-driven shops, if this hasn't happened before. Instead of using a plugin or anything, like on one of my old servers people could just have signs or books in their shops listing items and their exchange price (Ex: 3 gold for 1 diamond). I found this style of shopping much more fun and dynamic than plugin shopping, prices and stuff are based on the player and their needs instead of a standardized amount of coins or whatever that everyone sells at. Makes visiting towns to haggle fun too

Why do you wish to join this server?:
Vanilla servers have always been my favourite, and I can't find any that are either truly vanilla or have active members. This one seems to be as vanilla as you can get while still having protection against griefers, which I don't mind at all since I find griefers to be much more of a hassle than mods you can barely notice at all.
How active do you intend to be?:
If I like the server and find a cool place, I'll be on pretty much every day building stuff that I think is cool or just going around killing mobs or mining. The only times I won't be on as much are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday since those are the days that I have filled with my classes. Otherwise I have pretty much every day full to play this or other games.
Past minecraft/server experience?:
Off the top of my head, Buxville, wut.no, some prison server, a server that started with v, all of which, with the exception of Buxville, I played on until they were shut down. Most were vanilla or close to it too, wut.no and the v server but there were plenty more vanilla servers that I played on and were shut down, just can't remember their names.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hosted a couple vanilla servers myself since I didn't like it when servers that I spent so much time on shut down, but I found that hosting servers is not for me since I don't like punishing people even when they deserve it and it just ended up over griefed. I am in University at Grant Macewan University in Alberta, Canada taking Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Biology. I love to play Minecraft and other games, such as League of Legends and various Nintendo games (ZELDA!). I like to call myself a nerd, since I am, but I also wear nerds (glasses!). I started playing Minecraft right before compasses and fishing rods were added were added, about September 8th 2010 (Alpha 1.0.17_04, just before Alpha 1.1.0). I have a bit of a funny story from the first time I played (and refused to look up anything!), I walked around for a bit, found a desert, ran into a cactus, dug a hole and stopped at stone because I was too impatient to break it with my hands. I then went looking around, found a tree and broke it, then tried mixing random stuff to craft stuff, found only the planks recipe, all the others failed. It then started to become dark out, but I still explored regardless, and when night hit I got terrified because I saw a skeleton, which I thought was an Alien (Worst fear) so I ran into a weird looking building with what looked like a hobo's fire in the middle and locked myself in it. Little did I know that I had found a very rare above ground zombie monster spawner, and I was promptly killed by the zombie wondering what the heck happened.
Do you have any questions?: Only one, how long do you expect to keep this server up? I will donate when I have money to help keep it up if I like it.
Other info: I have built many things in minecraft that I am very proud of, but sadly they were all destroyed, since I only build really cool stuff on servers because I don't have much interest in building cool stuff in singleplayer, the only person I can impress is me on singleplayer, and I only build things for function if I'm not building for style. There is one singleplayer structure I built a long time ago in late Alpha named Tree Mountain which is the biggest map I have ever made in singleplayer and by far the coolest and largest structure too. It is nothing to my multiplayer builds, but I still like it. Only bad thing is these pics are of an old version, I upgraded it a lot but my hardrive failed and I had to go with a backup on a cloud. I had added a bedroom, made the tree farm realistic, made the farm realistic, made the house out of full brick and made everything look better. Pics:
