I have a Late 2011 15in Macbook Pro, and the discrete graphics card works like a dream with most of the things I've played on it, consistently smooth, no issues whatsoever.

However, no matter how low my settings (I can run Minecraft on full settings, with it occasionally dropping to around 40-50fps), I am consistently stuck at 60fps. I am set to Max FPS in performance, not Balanced or Power Saver, and I have tried all mixes of the available settings, but nothing appears to work!

Specifications:

OS X 10.7.5
2.4Ghz i7 processor (quad core)
16GB RAM, (1333 Mhz Crucial)
AMD Radeon 6770M graphics

Usual Settings:

Max FPS
Normal distance (I don't like the visual effect of Far distance)
Fancy Graphics
OpenGL on

Is there anything I need to enable or disable in order to get above this FPS?

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I can't even get the fuuuuurigging thing to open without an error.

I'm on OS X 10.7.5. I double click to open, and instead of opening it just comes up with an error:

This is off-topic but:

I accidentally hit a wolf in the shop/spawn area...and died on some stairs.

If an admin by any chance comes across my chest with my grave-signpost on it (CrimsonHikari) could you please put my stuff in a chest in my house? It has all my diamond tools and stuff in it. It's blocking the stairs at the moment so, help would be much appreciated. =)

I'm just looking for a server where there isn't PvP, and I can build stuff without having some little prink kill me, take my stuff and destroy my structures.

I'm not great with redstone, but I will risk drowning to build underwater structures, and death from falling to build high in the sky!

Chill, Marglyph will get to it, but he or she probably has more than minecraft going on in their life!

This is the most useful mod for minecraft...ever. Thank you so much...I wanted to try my hand at a custom map for my mates, and now I can without having to spend hours collecting the resources!

ah good to know I'm not the only one.

Also, is the bed supposed to reset your spawn point in Single player as well??? Because if so, it doesn't.

I'm currently having a problem with them. I go to make them on the workbench, and the second I click to collect the steps from the grid, the game freezes and crashes.

I am using a texture pack, and I'm not using any mods if this helps.

currently my favorite texture pack! although the minimalist look really screws you up underground XD.

Call me a noob, but how do you hard reset? Do you mean just turning the system off and on again, or performing stuff like PRAM and NVRAM resets, or what? I should know this but my brain is having a bit of a meltdown at the moment!

Having the same problem: crashes when trying to go into single player.

Any fixes are very welcome, please!
