4. What you are looking for in a server.
What i'm looking for is a small community where people get along for the most part and i can depend on legitimacy of the mods/admins to not show favoritism and start giving out all kinds of goodies to their internet buddies and shun those that play legit and sometimes actually need help with something. I like learning on my own, but sometimes i can't help but feel that in game chat was placed so that people can sometimes help eachother and not be dicks because someone doesn't have all night to google every little thing.
i want a server that isn't being lagged to all hell and back and the block lag alone makes mining take hours instead of half the time. i don't mind restarts but not excessively, and i don't like voting for rewards unless they make sense to. if i like a server, i won't mind giving it a thumbs up so you get your traffic, but i don't vote for stupid redundant things like claim blocks and op items. if i placed something i expect to be able to keep it protected while i bust my chops at my real life job, i don't need a silly game to make me work a second unpaid job just to make sure i haven't thrown away hours on hours doing stuff because i didn't have enough claim blocks for the night when i logged out.
i want to be able to neighbor with people whether they are pro or not because they like to play multiplayer for the sake of seeing/chatting with other players and get that others may want the same thing. i want donator ranks/etc to not treat non donators like peasants, i have real money for real things like bills so not donating shouldn't entitle me to be treated any less. i don't know if any of this exists on your server, but i have so many complaints about the larger ones and i really hate throwing away hundreds of hours because of such miniscule things, and small servers i've seen worse things happen. i just want to find a "safe space" place to chill away from work where i can shoot the **** and have fun while i put in work on minecraft. sorry for the story.

Solo/Group: Mostly solo. I like making my own experiences and occasionally will join in events.
PvP/Non-PvP: Both. Mostly play MC to chill from the explosions and shooting games so PVP is not something I come to MC for.
Leader/Follower: In video games I'm passive. I work so much and have a child, so usually I do my thing and if I team, then I just do what the pros say to do.
Giver/Taker: Both. Varies.

Is there any kind of list of griefers? I only ask because I keep getting friend requests from people who don't send a message beforehand so naturally I don't add them but it would be good to know who to avoid.
This is a good idea. I also have gotten way more friend requests than I can handle. Many of them are random adds so BE CAREFUL. I need to clean out my friends list and delete those that aren't on this or my facebook page. I suggest you guys take caution to do the same.

Situation update: I now have second ps4 on pre-order with Destiny as I know I will want to play that as well, this will give me the ability to keep the server open for you guys if I feel the need to shoot others lol, I also will set the server up under a new psn (not sure of name yet) to keep the bad guys out,
the server will only be survival, NEVER creative, keeping leaderboards and trophies active, difficulty may vary, rules will be simple and not dictatorship like, with you guys I envisage no problems
I need some input here but, in addition to the poll run by Baldur can we have suggestions for the most important thing,
