I didn't know it was possible for villagers to look any more ugly than they do in the game.

While I never found horses to be a necessary (or even worthwhile) addition to Minecraft before, depending on how they are implemented, I think they could end up adding some nice new maneuverability options to the game. I'm assuming they will be more reliable than pigs, too. Kind of makes me wonder what the theme of the update will be this time.
An aesthetics update, perhaps?
I think 1.6 will be focused on new mobs, possibly including new fish, as Dinnerbone has said on Twitter that they plan on making the fishing system more fun. -

You don't get it. They're not adding horses. They've hidden something in he pic
No, it's been confirmed that they are adding horses. Jeb posted this screenshot showing a horse in-game:

Apr 6, 2013CreeperProne posted a message on Minecraft Surpasses 10 Million Sales, 1.6 Feature Spoiler AlertI'm excited for the addition of horses. Hopefully they will be easier to control than pigs and faster than traveling on foot, otherwise there would be no advantage to riding them. Possibly they could be tamable with apples or carrots and be found wild in grassland biomes. I look forward to seeing where Mojang takes this.Posted in: News

Because hearing sounds for tasks we often do in Minecraft over and over could get irritating, the volume of ambient loops could be low, as well as the frequency at which the other additional sounds I've listed are heard.
What do you think? If you have any more ideas, feel free to post them. I might add some more myself if I think of any.

I followed all the instructions, but I still get the same error message. The texture pack I am trying to convert is Vanilla DXII from the Vanilla Series by CoCoNUT31. Any help is greatly appreciated.Edit: I realized I hadn't been running the batch file itself, but the unstitcher program. Still, when I double-click to run the .bat file, a console log opens and immediately closes. Is there a fix for this, or am I simply doing something wrong.Edit again: Figured it out. It seems to not work on Windows XP, but it worked on my Windows 7 laptop, even without the batch file.

No, because there hasn't been a 1.5.2 update for the core GLSL shaders mod. Essentially, SEUS is a mod of a mod - the GLSL shaders, modified by karyonix. SEUS, as stated in EskimoNoise's signature, can run with any version of karyonix's shaders and Optifine for performance increase and optimization. But, since there hasn't been an update for GLSL to 1.5.2, you're out of luck - for now anyway.

SEUS does not need to be updated; it is the core mod, the GLSL shaders, that does. Any version of SEUS will work on any version of GLSL, and the latest is only for Minecraft 1.5.1 and Optifine B3 for 1.5.1. The latest GLSL can be found here, and the Optifine version here, in the "Ultra" section. Download any version of SEUS you like, follow the instructions for installation of all three required components, and voila!

I contacted Sonic Ether about it, and I am currently waiting for a reply. Thanks for all your help. I apologize for the trouble.

The reflective water effect is in a version of SEUS. He posted a video on YouTube showing the effect he created, but I'm 1) not sure what version it is in, 2) why my water looks so different - as seen in my posts above, and 3) if there is any way to resolve the issue. But don't worry too much about it. My game runs at 15 or below FPS when using the latest version of SEUS, so I'm assuming my computer needs some upgrades. I can however run the v8 Lite version at a stable 30-40 FPS, and I can live with that. My biggest question is what version of SEUS is the water in and why my water looks so odd. (Maybe that's how it's supposed to look? I know that the water shaders have changed across different SEUS versions.) But don't trouble yourself trying to find out; it's not that big of a deal. The water shaders are not a necessity; I just like how they look. I can ask around on YouTube or maybe ask Sonic Ether himself.

I put them in the "shaderpacks" folder, but the graphics look just like the vanilla ones, as far as I can tell. I'm assuming I need a different GLSL and Optifine version.
Sorry to give you all this trouble.

Thanks for your help so far. Doing so fixed a lot of the issues, but water (and lava) are still wonky. Essentially, I'm looking for the water and lava to look like this:
But it looks like this in my game:
Was there a change between versions or is my graphics card simply not good enough? Also, after doing what you suggested, tree leaves and grass no longer move. Was this changed between versions, as well?

Yes, I think that is what it is. I am willing to update my drivers, but I will need assistance. What are drivers, and how do I update them? I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to computers and such.

Mobs and items appear white:
Water looks odd. It is too clear and has a lot of jagged lines:
Certain mobs are completely invisible:
Normal:
Odd shadows:
Clouds have jagged lines (happens without any shaders; only Optifine):
Then I tried the v8 Lite version and I experienced a significant FPS increase, but I really wanted the new water reflection and ripple effects, as seen in video. Also, there were still some issues with water:
I imagine the problem is my crummy computer. Here are the full specs:
OS: Windows XP SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3GHz
Memory: 2GB Ram
GFX: ATI EAH6570 1GB DDR3
If you need any more info, please ask. Unfortunately, I cannot add any more RAM as it stands at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated.
