    thanks for the feedback, frostbite is finished, but it still needs balancing and testing. i am getting started on gloomy realm 2, the starting area is done :DD

    Welcome to Evanescence, a CTM map series by CreatureSuzMeow.

    In this map series, you will experience fighting, running, burning, looting, dying, crying and most importantly completing the Monument.

    There are a few rules that you have to follow in order to keep the game fun.
    1. Do NOT craft or dye wool, unless you are making beds.

    2. Do NOT craft Enderchests.

    3. Do NOT leave the map boundaries.

    4. Play on at least Easy, never Peaceful.

    5. Survive in any ways you can think of.

    6. You may keep your Inventory if you feel like the map is too hard.

    7. You may teleport to each other if you feel like the map is too hard.

    8. You may turn mob griefing off.

    9. Have fun and DIE A LOT.

    Welcome to Frenzy Inferno, a PVP map made by CreatureSuzMeow :DD

    This map is very simple and compact, it has 1 battle area (more will be added), with 6 classes inspired by Team Fortress 2 (Scout, Heavy, Sniper, Spy, Pyro, and Soldier).

    There are no goals for this map, this is just plain for the fun of PVP with different classes, and everymen fight for themselves.

    However there are a few rules to follow in order to keep the game fun.
    1. Do NOT play on Bukkit. ( Tp commands don't work that well )
    2. Do NOT break any block.
    3. Do NOT kill players on the spawning platform.
    4. Do NOT spawn kill other players.
    5. Play on Easy - Hard. ( So mobs spawn and you do not regen too quick )
    6. Turn mob spawning to true on servers.

    make it so that the mutant endermen have a chance to summon the enderdragon and the rarity would be 1%
    um no, i dont think thats gonna be kewl for our worlds, also the mutant enderman is not a boss, which make sense that he belongs to the enderdragon.

    Hey, thought I'd post some screens of my ongoing "tweaking the shaders" project.
    Main goal is to get a valid SSAO with a valid Bloom effect, if possible a valid DoF with that ( but honestly, I think this one is impossible... Well, computed with the other effects, that is ).

    So I have basically took screenshots of the same scene, or equivalent scenes around one of my map, to illustrate the effects.

    - Here we have, for the realistic texture packs ( LB photorealism, indeed, with the spec and normal map from Engehenk - who else? : Bloom, SSAO, Waving almost everything ( water, leaves, wheat, grass, etc ), spec, normal map, fog, earth curvature.



    Now, an underground zombie scene, and introducing the same shaders ( minus spec and normal ) for non-realistic, clean texture packs! Comparison with LB photorealism, and back to the wooden structure :



    On the left bottom corner you will notice a little "glitch" I'm trying to work around for now ( I implemented a depth limitation for the effect, turns out it's not such a great idea ). Thanks to this glich, you can see both the standard, non-shaded wooden structure AND the ssao'ed structure, for comparison sake.

    Next and last picture is a last comparison screenshots between realistic and non realistic texture packs. The Bloom is noticeable on the torches of the toon pack.




    So it's almost done, I need to tweak some things to get rid of the "cell shading ++ " effect there can be on some angles. Luckily for me, one of the features I added to the stack was a better gestion of depth and "shadow sheath" enveloppe, so I should be fine in the end.
    I will maybe post pictures of the raw ssao pass "before-and-after" tomorrow, for now it's late here and I need some sleep... !

    Oh, and DoF should be impossible to add OVER those effects as long as the opengl code, not the shaders, is not improved. I think I know what should be done (adding FBOs and shaders to the mix), I just lack the knowledge to do so... It would help for a better, more logical bloom, maybe motion blur, maybe ssdo, maybe a lot of stuff, actually... :D

    PS - if anyone know how to get rid of that annoying "unlicensed" message... Looks like launching the game via MCpatcher prevent from being authentified :/
    UMMM, how did you get rid of the "dark feelin" in SSAO.

Also I'd like to add that you should add chests with random loot that will actually help, it will save time on farming it because we all know it's not hard to make a stone pickaxe, the objective is to complete the monument, so I'd say that you should make it easier to farm so the difficulty and farming balance. Just a idea, of course the final decision is on you.

With experience I can say that this map is hard and it's harder than it should be, it one thing to constantly die and rage but it's another to just get bored of dying. With all respect, I recommend that you lower the difficulty of the map to get the fun feel back into it. By no means am I saying this map isn't good, instead I'm saying that you should make it easier because this is in fact crossing the limits.
    Thanks for the feed back. I felt the same while i was testing. But however as you can tell, this map is still in beta development, so in the future updates i will enhance the map according to the responses of you guys, more levels will also be added
