I heartily agree! This feature should definitely be implemented. Two thumbs up!

A Redwood Biome would definitely be cool too. You don't have to be so defensive about it. It's not like this is something I'm going on a crusade for, it's just a nifty idea I'm tossing out there into the sea of suggestions in case the game makers like it too.

I see no reason to implement a random new tree.

When did "It would be cool" stop being a reason?

These are just something you arbitrarily thought would be "cool".

That is, indeed, what I said. Your powers of perception are astounding.

Now that the ability to grow giant Jungle trees has been implemented (bonemeal on a 2x2 set of jungle saplings), wouldn't it be cool if you could grow giant Redwood trees with a 2x2 set of Pine saplings?

Can OP please update the original post to acknowledge that the transition was changed, so people don't keep posting with "Well this problem was fixed" when only half of it is fixed?

I understand u probably hate hearing these questions but I got one for ya Chaos my man :wink.gif:

With 1.2 comes new biome coding that allows for biome editing. Should we expect a tool to be integrated into WP or some other 3rd party program to do such? Thanks man, really liking the last couple of releases :wink.gif:.

He has said several times that he's already working on it :happy.gif:

posted a message on Light vs Heat
Yes, as I said earlier, that was my first and simplest thought, but the separation of light and heat function could, as discussed, produce several other interesting effects. I'd be satisfied with just making glowstone produce natural light, but I'd still be interested to see the other features as well.

it would change the scale so instead of this being 100 blocks

Very cool program, works very well although I do wish there was a way to infinitely generate a world.

There is, it's called "Playing Minecraft"

also I'm getting tired of these modifications of my pack showing up in other places.
without my permission that is just a simple credit that's all i ask.

Did I not credit you? :sad.gif: I'm so sorry, I thought I had. I must have forgotten. Again, I'm very sorry, I try to always give credit when I use other people's creations.

posted a message on Glowing, Wooden, and Redstone Letters!
    Quote from Manwich

I really like the sound of this, I've been in many situations where I want to make my writing stand out but huge letters made from blocks are just ugly and won't fit.
Also, this would probably not work as the block seems to be using the same principles as the sign or pane block, but if you could place these blocks face down on the ground, as in while looking at them from above you could see the lettering, it could make it possible to create smaller messages from an aerial view without resorting to huge ugly letters.

    Quote from Twentydragon

All types of Letters would have 28 facing options (chosen by whichever faces you, again like signs):
    • Standing up (8 directions).
    • Face-up on the floor (8 directions).
    • Face-down from the ceiling (8 directions).
    • Against a wall (4 directions).

Here's a thought: I like your trees, but I also like the Minecraft trees, and I think a lot of people prefer them, especially if you plan to integrate the Populate layer into some of the world, or sculpt a spawn area outside of which will be normal Minecraft land. So what if, when you add in Jungle trees, you made it possible to use *either* WorldPainter trees *or* Minecraft trees when exporting the world, or maybe made separate forest layers for WorldPainter tree shapes and Minecraft tree shapes, so we can mix and match if we want?

Would need to be 26 different blocks.

No, it's 3 different blocks (glowing, wooden, or redstone), and you set the letter/number/symbol you want it to be when you place it, just like a sign.

Edit: I guess its technically 1+2*15=31 blocks.
