Attention to detail is what I'm doing with this one. Anyone that is interested in helping me build the interior or film the video for its release, please message me!
Yes, the world is 1.7.
Yes, we can build on other versions.
No, you may not touch.
Legit? Hell no, I'm not wasting my time on that.

straightsonicDX posted a message on Step-by-Step Castle Wall DesignWelcome to the first Step-by-Step Tutorial by StraightsonicDX!Today I will be showing you how to build my own Castle wall design!Posted in: Screenshots
Items you will need:
Smooth Stone
Stone Bricks
Stone Slabs
Stone Brick Slabs
Alright to start off you're going to want to outline where your wall is going to be with stone:
Next place stone slabs around and inside your outline:
Alright, now to start the wall. Make a four block tall wall on each side out of stone bricks:
Fill in the top:
Okay, now your gonna want to make this design on top:
Build up on the design. It should look like this:
Fill the top:
Place stone slabs in the indentations on the wall:
Now on the very top place stone on the side, and a stonebrick slab on every other block:
Now your wall is pretty much done. You can use this design to make epic castles
Add towers, gates, etc. To your walls to make a castle:

I took the idea from an old video that used the pistons mod. I've also made a much, much simpler design to do the same thing, but I haven't made a video of it yet.
In addition to that, I've made a retractable floor (it drops down and then goes to the sides) and a staircase that collapses into the wall. I tried to make a wall that pops up out of the ground (from underneath the retractable floor) but I couldn't retract it so that failed.
If anyone wants more videos of my piston stuffs go ahead and request them. I'm even planning to get a decent mic in the near future, so there could be talking! - To post a comment, please login.

On the inside we have the traditional 7x7 farming block which normally allows water to spread to all the tilled soil evenly allowing crops to grow at a faster rate. The structure itself at its max is 11x11, overall space wise not very much taken up so for maps with limited space this may be help full and you can go as high as you wish.
Each level alternates, bottom level gets a 7x7 block of dirt with 1 dirt removed in the middle for water to flow into, the level above is also a 7x7 block of dirt but with the corners removed then above that we're back to the middle block removed. Since water flows to the lowest available point and over 7 blocks of space we have water flowing down and over each consecutive level bringing the harvest along with it.
Design:
In this photo I cut away the side wall holding the water on one side of the building for visibility. These keep the crops hydrated. And I replaced the missing dirt blocks with Emerald blocks to show placement where to leave holes for the water and crops to flow down.
Yield:
7x7 (49 blocks) minus between 1 and 5 blocks for missing dirt or destroyed crops.
As a practical example this is what I got after 1 layer of potato, 1 layer of carrot, 2 layers of wheat:
Wheat: 93
Seed: 140
Potato: 126
Poisoned Potato: 1 (derp)
Carrot: 117
Room for improvement:
It is stack-able, so you should be able to go as high as you like with it. The current design I'm using does have a couple flaws that I noticed. The water flowing down does have a bad habit of collecting materials along the walls if you use glass panes. The current design only uses 1 piston and 9 buckets of water total but I'm eager to see what the rest of you come up with making your own.

That is how we all started, first the dirt shack hobbit hole. You log on to the screenshots forum and see someone doing something cool with wood, wool, glass, half slabs, etc and then you want to try it yourself. Before you know it you become a proficient builder making your own forum threads and someone else is sad that your mansion is casting a shadow on their hobbit hole dirt hut.

Appartments? Cafe? not really sure but it looks visually appealing!
How else does a culture that lives in the trees get goods across the river? Zip Line!
Still not 100% completed but this will give you a good idea of what to expect.
Our esteemed team leader taking a moment to examine what has recently sprung up around him.
So we have here a Suspension, hanging basket type of building, composed of wood and a glass bottom. with benches all around the outside. Say what you will, I'm calling it an Amphitheater and or Arena.

Only downside is I can't get the stairs to line up properly going from the first floor on up. The more complicated the outside decoration, the more difficult it is to line up the stairs in the end.
