Time to take a look at what I've been doing.
Hello everyone. This is CarbonateWater. I'm back for another post in this graveyard. I haven't played minecraft for a while and start to play a bit again. My save file is somehow missing. So i had to load from my backup save. New area that I added before is now gone. Here is some recap on my world. Many things will change in my base. I have vague idea about what I want to build, change, improve on previous creation. It still needs to be explicit.

Not much has been change since the last update above ground.

Just added potion brewing station that I saw on youtube.

On the other hand, underground is currently under massive renovation. I dug out the whole underground of my base area and start decorating walls. Also, I will rebuild the sewer, so it's centered and symmetrical.

This is a first piece of renovation.

    I also built slime farm.

I leave the nuclear cube thing. It looks lonely.

    Place for Ritual

This place is a religious part of my build. I need to build some more in the mountain.

Carved statue and little fountain to wash before they enter the temple.

I always liked the concept of building sticking out of the cliff. Part of the building is buried in the mountain. Design is simple dome. It is built with sandstone, red and green stained clay, and glass. Added hanging sandstone with glowstone.

This structure is philosopher's will. People who pass this monument bow to respect previous sages. At least what I call it. I made 5 blocks gap in every block so ended up this shape.

I have been play since beta 1.2, but it's still fun to play and build stuff. Updates give us new things. Maybe because I don't play many hours everyday.

That is awesome! I know what you mean when you say that you just start building, then let your imagination take over. Admittedly, none of my stuff ever turns out looking nearly so good. Looking forward to seeing what else you've got. :)

    Thank you for your support.
I think when I build without pre-planning, simple shape or repetitive pattern turns out great when it finished. It's just all about what is pleasing to the human eye.

Music Hall and little bits of cliff building

This is entrance to the music hall. 3 X 3 vault type door. It is fast and looks fancy when it opens and close.

My building style is not pre-planned. I just start building with initial idea and imagine how it going to be looks like.

Top middle note blocks are piano. Bottom middle note blocks are bass. Left note blocks are snare drum, and right note blocks are clicks. Only piano and bass has all 25 notes. snare and click don't need many notes. It's just for beats.

I actually play some music here. :P

Exterior of cliff building. I always like the idea of cliff building. So most of my builds are on the mountains. I'm kind of suck at interior design, but I will try to fill this with something.

Top portion of the building. I didn't build all the way up because I don't want to reach other build above. It is good to remain some natural landscapes while building on cliff.

Minecart elevator is my go to upward transportation. It is very fast, easy to build, and take less resources. It connects all floors of this building.

I made perimeter for my base around back in the beta 1.2, and transported into another world by MCedit when new updates are come out. I built a lot of things since beta, and I'm still building it. I can make just another new world like many people do. However, I think there is no incentive to do so.

This is about my base, "The Perimeter." I mostly decorate the perimeter with random buildings, but I build redstone contraption time to time. It was interesting extreme hill biome near the ocean when I first found the initial place. I built outward from there. Almost every build I made are made out of sandstone because I like sandstone. Exploited hell out of sand generator when it was possible. Now I'm incorporate red sandstone into my builds.

Original perimeter is the square at the top left of overview. It is packed with all sorts of things. So, I decided to expend the perimeter. My first idea when I start building was keep things close together. That idea still remain as core object of my world. First, I included guardian temple with bit of ocean for future build. After that I create a custom world with mountain madness preset and tweaked some sliders. Result was pretty good. Most of my new builds will be in this area.

Later posts will mostly about my journey as builder. Whether about dull looking redstone stuff or my own style of buildings.

    Overview of my "The perimeter"

You can find older post of mine about this world here:

It will show you existing stuffs in my perimeter.

So you... don't really throw anything away? *looking at junk storage room*

This is crazy, I'm fairly sure I've seen this thread before. Jeesh. And you like sandstone, don't you? haha

I just don't like to throw it away. It's better to keep it in the same world and look at it time to time.
I really like the sandstone tho lol. Good to have different color of sandstone now.

Glad you switched back to vanilla. Mods ruin the game, in my opinion.

Back on track, nice base and world.

Mod is nice. It makes thing complicated, in a good way :)
    I like vanilla too.
