How about a training center map for like the top 24 and then have private sessions at the end. Then have the GM's vote on the top 12 they think will make the games most "interesting".
@battlekid - 75 people? Lol brings back memories of when i first started this. I, being the Minecraft noob i was, imagined i was going to host 50+ people on my home computer...but I learned pretty quickly that that was not going to happen. All stories aside, this definitely opens up possibilities. We could have spectators and disable build privileges for them in the arena. This doesn't solve the problem of if they decide to attack the tributes though. Is there a plugin for that? There probably is. And on the topic of plugins, is there a way to disable bed spawning? Still an issue unless you've found a way to fix it.
75 SLOTS: Going in depth with this, this opens up possibilities of more tributes, spectators and sponsors, all of which were ideas previously discarded since we thought we would only be able to run 30 people on the server or less. I remember us having a lot of suggestions about this early on but that was probably 100 pages ago So, should we bring these suggestions back for the next games? 24 tributes would definitely add more excitement. We could also fit more cameramen which means better coverage of the contestants. Spectators are a possibility for these games as we have already had suggestions and battle said it could work. A couple suggestions for sponsors were to have people donate to their favorite tribute. Depending on how much was donated, the mentor ingame would get ingame money to spend on the tribute. Only problem is, we'd probably have to set the bar fairly low as we couldn't expect a ton of sponsors. Another idea was to have spectators on the server go out into the world and gather supplies that could be sold for ingame cash and then they could buy a number of items for their favorite tribute. This one sounds better plus it would be simple to limit the items sent to the tributes so that they didnt get diamond swords and stuff (which we are prohibiting anyways because they're too powerful) If you have any other suggestions, we could probably use them.
SCHOOL: Teachers on strike Mon. Tues. and Wed. so I'll probably be using that time to sift through by 200 or so applications.

MARCH 23: Is going to be insane. When you have one theater in your town, it's pretty freaking hard to get tickets. So maybe we could have a celebration on somebody's server (we could host one on mine if you wanted)? Or maybe a joint party across a number of servers where people could just get together and build in celebration of the Hunger games movie and the MCHG and they could ask us questions and give suggestions and we could just hang out and talk and stuff and have a lot of fun? The MCHG will probably be held after the 23rd since we probably won't be ready before then. Just throwing this out there so if anybody likes the idea, we could do it. It could even be held on the 24th and go for most if not all day for all the people who couldn't be on on a friday.

Backstory (1-2 LONG paragraphs): The templars took my home. They took my family. Now its time for revenge. I am Jakeob Richards, This is my story.
I was only 13. It was a normal day working in the wheat farm with my dad and brother. Suddenly we hear a scream from our mom inside. We rush in to see her dead. Our dad pulls out a sword and start to fight. He was a brilliant assassin with great sword skill but even he couldn't take them all on. He killed about 13 of them before he got killed. He said that for harboring a assassin we would be executed at town square at high noon tomorrow.
We were taking somewhere. A type of prison? I see my brother and he has a panicked look on his face. Me and him devise a strategy. When the templars come we look like we haven't talked the whole time. They start leading us away but we get away and hands bound start running rooftop to rooftop. When we get to a huge gap its now or never. We jump but only I make it and he falls. both his legs are broken and he tells me to go and save myself. I see the templars a few buildings away. Knowing he cant be saved i run. When I finally get away I pass out of exhaustion. Somehow the assassins rescue me and I have been in training ever since.
Tell me about yourself: I am from Madras, Oregon and I have to go to school on the weekdays but I can play almost all day and through the night on weekends. I am on Pacific Coast Time. Also I have been playing minecraft for about 1 and a half years. I am hoping to become a guard and I don't care how long it takes

What are you looking forward to doing in this server: I am looking forward to play, make some new friends and hopefully become a guard.
What can you do at night time: Well if you mean can I play at night then yes. If you mean what the players do then prisoners go to their cells and guards make sure no one is out or breaking the rules.
Can you kill a guard: No it is not allowed and is punishable by loss of all items in your chest and being watched closely.
Where would be a good place to get random items: Well I personally would go to the Prison Dump because that is the obvious choice and probably the easiest.
Are you more into solo or group work: As prisoner it takes a bit of trust. I trusted before and they ended up snitching on me and escaping themselves. As a guard I think I would like group work cause it would be very helpful.
Do you think you can escape: That i am not sure about. I am hoping to become a guard. But if I was a prisoner I would look but most likely stay in the prison.
Is it okay to destroy random blocks to escape: I would say no because that would take no effort at all.
What are the five best qualities for a guard: Integrity so they would even keep their friends from escaping. Friendliness because it is pretty good to be friends with guards and prisoners. Teamwork so they can team up to stop escapees. Knowledge so they will know the troublemakers, and who may be planning to escape. Finally Experience in minecraft. they need to know how to sprint, probably pvp so they can take down an escaping prisoner as well as knowing the plugins and commands.
How often will you play on this server: Probably for at least a hour a day on the weekdays and 5 or more hours on the weekends. Mainly at night on the weekends and from
5:30 to 6:30 A.M and 6:00 to 9:00 P.M on weekdays.

I dont see how the problem is me I mean he just sent me an email an hour ago and stated that I mean ever since he started dating his girlfriend who doesnt like that much he has been very distant.
