I Really like the idea of potions, and for some interesting craft-able options why not use bonemeal as a base for the health potions along with red flowers seeing as most alchemical creations are vegetation.
I really just used redstone for a quick fix, as I had no idea what to use as the base. I like the idea of bone meal though, and I will probably use it until something better comes along.

Armour potion
Monster potion (use on an animal to turn it into a random monster mob)
Polymorph potion (use on a mob to turn it into a chicken)
Druid's elixir (use on a dirt tile to spawn grass and maybe flowers?)
Firebomb (projectile potion that sets whatever it hits on fire)
Mushroom/diamond/flower/coal/redstone/iron elixir (makes all such blocks glow and be visible through rock)
Amazing ideas. Will definitely look into the polymorphing ones.

-water breathing
-water walking (possible?)
-fire resistance
-extra damage
-extra speed
Edit:more potion ideas
- X Ray Vision the different grades(minor ETC) would give different distances
-higher jumping
-mind control, makes hostile mobs friendly and protect u
-superheating, put in furnace to increase speed
The idea of breathing underwater is a long standing one, but one that should always be added. I will work on that one ASAP. Beefing up stats never hurt either.
X-RAY is a good one too, as is the mind control.
I like the superheating one, used instead of coal or something, will have to ponder that one, hmmm ...

Nighteye: Similar to SDK's nightvision goggles, but in a potion
Invisibility: Turn invisible. Obviously.
Water breathing: Refills your air bubbles.
Monster-Away: Mobs run away after coming within a certain distance.
Disguise: Temporarily gives you a skeleton skin. Burns off in the daylight.
Fly: Disables gravity on you. Useful but dangerous when it runs out.
Super Speed: Doubles running speed.
Nighteye, classic TES spell, added to planned additions.
All good suggestions, especially the alchemy bench! I'll see what I can whip up.
Thanks for everyone's input so far! Keep the suggestions coming!
weak mod :/ nothing special. mo foods is cooler anyway!
Perhaps. However, this mod (and my other ones) are made exclusively for the MCP Mod System. Mostly to help support its growth. Additionally, I intend to keep adding to the potion list.

I just made this mod, so I expect a few things to go wrong sooner than later. However, that does not mean I do not do extensive testing before releasing a new version or update. Pictures for the recipes will be uploaded after i get some sleep. :tongue.gif: I will be putting all similar recipes into a gif ... after I get some sleep. :tongue.gif:
