    posted a message on [1.4.5] BuildRegion - prevent annoying misclicks!

    Sorry for the bump, but this mod was amazingly useful, and I'd be extremely greatful to anyone that could update this mod to 1.7.10 and 1.8, or if someone were to link to a continuation or similar mod I don't know of.

    EDIT: Found this, testing it out now.

    Is there any chance of getting this mod to work on NoCheatPlus servers? If not, could you tell us the checks that would have to be modified to make it work?

    EDIT: Looks like it's blocked by the FastClick check.

    posted a message on Macro / Keybind Mod

    I'm running 0.11.1 beta 2 for 1.8, and when I try to connect to a particular server, I immediately get disconnected after joining. This doesn't happen on any other server. The server in particular is pvp.desteria.com, if you'd like to test it.

    I've tried clearing the config for this mod already, along with running it with JUST Forge and Liteloader, to no avail. I'm going to try reinstalling Forge and Liteloader next. Also, I've tried enabling Compatibility Mode and disabling Deep Injection, but those changes don't appear to save after a restart since they're unchecked next time I look after restarting.

    This is the actual error that occurs when trying to join that server;

    Running into an annoying issue where the hand and items in the hand of the player are transparent. This occurs on all versions (Lite to Extreme) of the latest version of the shaders. For reference, I'm running the latest version of the 1.7.10 shadersmod.

    Overseer Factions is a pet project of mine, the owner of the Smashing Limes DarkRP server for Garry's Mod. Working on it, I feel like it's close enough to ready to release it. Anything added further will probably be community-steered; we have an entire section on our forum devoted to this server, so suggestions can flow in freely.

    Our server is meant to have a few traits;

    • Try to be unique. While not really easy for Minecraft servers these days, I've done a few twists on the normal setups that'll hopefully help us out. There's a guide book you get when spawning, but it's not needed, except for an explanation of the more advanced features (vampirism, portals, etc).
    • Be player-run. There aren't any handouts here except for the starting items you get, which are weak, and the crate (which is done in series, so that there's something new to get from them every once in a while). There are auctions and player-run shops, but no server shops, meaning that all resources will have to be provided from another player or yourself.
    • Not have overpowered donator perks. I feel our donator packages are priced reasonably to help keep us afloat, while being satisfying, and not being overpowered. While the current list of perks may be small, I'm very well willing to add more, as long as it doesn't unbalance gameplay (that's why the donators get the items once, and not in a kit).
    • Be fun. I hope I've succeeded.

    By now, you're probably wondering what the IP for the server is. You can connect to our server by connecting to;

    factions.smashinglim.es

    or

    74.91.116.96

    You can get in touch with the community by going to smashinglim.es, our community forum. I hope you have fun with our server!

    posted a message on Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders [compatible with Minecraft 1.12.2 via OptiFine]

    Is there something I can do to fix the lighting in the Nether? I'm running into a pretty irritating issue where it's annoyingly dark compared to without shaders, and lighting from glowstone makes some bad flickering. There's also the graininess on the ground...

    I'm using the latest beta shaders in the OP.

    EDIT: Graininess was caused by another mod. I fixed the glowstone being too bright by changing the value on line 283 in gbuffers_terrain.vsh from 32.0f. There is, of course, the issue of unrendered terrain in the nether showing the background of the current time of day. This issue occurs with all times of day, and can cause it to flicker a very bright white at certain angles, making a scene like this go to this.

    There isn't really anything I can do to tweak this out, it seems, so I'll have to disable shaders in the Nether.

    posted a message on (v1.4) OptiLeaves (Faster Leaves rendering, looks better than Fast graphics leaves!)
    Notably, this mod forces trees to the Fancy view regardless of your Optifine or Graphics settings. This is fine, because I'm fine with it like that, but it shouldn't really do that unless it's required to boost FPS.

    Also quite notably, your mod slightly interferes with Verdana's Mine Little Pony mod. If you have Pony's-Eye-View (an experimental feature, which might explain it, but still something worth noting), and then turn on Fancy graphics, this happens.

    As you can see, all of the leaves and water has become transparent. This was a commonly reported problem with the Mine Little Pony mod when using it with Optifine, but this never occured for me, for some reason. In this case, removing Optifine fixes the issue, meaning that this is a conflict between three mods; OptiLeaves, Optifine, and Mine Little Pony. To finish off, this bug only occurs when both of these requirements are fulfilled; 1. Fancy graphics are on, and 2. Pony's-Eye-View is enabled.

    The Forge version of this mod's download link is broken, it reports that the file was removed.

    Pretty good server. They're just starting out so they're rather small, but I hope it gets popular. The experience is fine so far and the people on there, especially the staff, are bearable people to talk to compared to people on other servers.

    posted a message on Playing music all the time
    Hello, I've been looking for a mod like this, and I've seen it at least once, but it was for 1.3.2, if I recall. The idea of the mod is to play music in your music folder all of the time, instead of the usual amount of time between the music. Alternatively, the amount of time between music begins playing could be configurable, although if you don't want to do that, that's perfectly fine.

    It should probably have support with Forge, and play all tracks in your music folder (not just default Minecraft tracks, some people have custom music added and AudioMod isn't compatible with Forge). The mod developer will need to work on keeping it updated, especially since 1.6 will be released next week.
