I've been searching everywhere (starting with the RotaryCraft in-game manual), and I can't find any info on either the Integrated Redstone Upgrade or the Permanent Magnet Upgrade.

I have at least figured out that the permanent magnet is used on the magnetizing unit- but to what effect?

Does the integrated redstone allow machines to be toggled on/off without the use of a clutch? (seems like that would contradict the mechanical nature of the mod)

The Integrated Redstone Upgrade is an upgrade that can be applied to the AC Electric Engine and the Magnetizing Unit that will remove the need for an exterior redstone clock for the machines to operate.

The Permanent Magnet Upgrade is an upgrade that can be applied to the Magnetizing Unit that will greatly boost its efficiency, reducing the amount of power required to get the same amount of operation speed. It will require half as much power to get to a 1 operation per tick speed.

I'm on 1.26b fresh new world, and I can still craft gearboxes the old way like our grandparents did. In fact its the only way I know, so how do you craft them in a new exciting way with diamond bearings making everything not use up lubricant? :D

go into the DragonAPI config and set "Enable Temporally Dependent Amusement Behavior" to false. That will fix it. Or just wait for it to go away.

You gotta be kidding me. It would never occur to me that Reika lacks real bug reports, to code jokes like this.

Anyway it did go away - now the game just crashes. Very funny joke but I must ask to limit jokes to crashing the game, formatting SDD or deleting files from C:\ would be a bit too much OK?

Please disreguard past me. She forgot what day it was.

If you are implying it had anything to do with Aprils 1st, my post was completely serious :)

So after railcraft related crash all the Rotarycraft machine textures got messed up and now they look more or less like dark gray cubes. I have loaded a couple of different backups which didn't help, and updating to 25a didnt do anything either. Ideas?

[8 more visited villages later] OK is there a way to cheat "a...less than honorable attempt" in? (That's the one, right?). Flying around for hours searching for the village that may or may not even exist is not my idea of fun. Well actually it is, I love exploration in every well coded game... but not with the terrible Minecrafts engine when chunk generation can't keep up even with its own vanilla boat speed (headbang) :steve_tearful:

After googling and going through code for a while, I came up with this less than honorable attempt at cheating
    /chromaprog progress VILLAGECRAFTING true

It seems to work for now. Still, unless fewer than 1/20 villages attempt chromaticraft, I'm almost sure they dont spawn in my world :| I'm gonna try making a new world and removing other mods one by one starting with Witchery when I have more time, to see whats up.

Dammit its hard to believe I am that unlucky, it used to be very easy to find them :( Is it possible that they dont even spawn before you have a certain level of progression? Or maybe I am overthinking this and need to just keep looking.

I kind of miss RotaryCraft, but can't find it in my heart to give up all my 1.12.2 mods to run it.

You know man for me its the other way around. Every time I say "enough with the ancient versions lets see whats new" and try out a 1.12 pack I get extremely disappointed and go back to 1.7.10 And it's not just Reika's mods although they definitely play a huge part in this. Most of the newer mods are simply not fun, not imaginative enough for my taste, and/or not useful enough. Add to this the fact that all the packs I played with messed with recipes for the sake of their silly "balance", and never update mods fast enough leaving gamebreaking bugs for months, and also add the fact that public servers oftentimes just ban items they deem prone to abuse (like AE2 storage bus), and 1.12 modpacks become close to unplayble for me. There are like three new mods I wish were ported to 1.7.10 - Abyssal craft, Psi and Nutrition and thats it. I also wish I had some of the new machines from the Ender IO and Immerssive Engineering but generally, when it comes to most of the mods from Thermal Expansion to Thaumcraft I even like their 1.7.10 versions much better. Anyway I highly recommend you trying out Reikas mods now, they went a long way since you last played them. Just mentally prepare that afterwards "all your 1.12.2 mods" may not look so fun anymore... ;)

OK then does anybody play with Chromaticraft and Witchery in the same pack? Can anybody confirm these two aren't incompatible when it comes to Village structures?

    Is the

Villagers laughable attempt at building a casting temple with a hidden chest underneath

still a thing in Chromaticraft's progression?

How common is it? I've visited like 10+ villages already (in overworld) on my new playthrough, haven't found a single one. The only thing that's new mod wise is newer Chromaticraft version and I added Witchery mod which does mess with Villages so it may or may not be the problem. It doesn't prevent Tinkers Construct structures from spawning though.

So I've started a new world recently, and now I'm getting the exact identical loot from every Chromaticraft loot chest in those trapped thingies on the nether ceiling - 1x fragment, 4x copper, 4x gunpowder, 9x spagetti and meatballs and so on (pictured).

Hey Whatsapp2 thanks for the images they are really helpful. So it looks like using empty boiler to pass the heat is still a thing.

You seem to have just one Thorium core, can it sustain itself? I was under the impression uranium/plutonium is only needed to kickstart the process and later thorium-turned-into-uranium-233 should sustain the reaction by itself but for that you need multiple thorium cores don't you. How effective is your reactor is it much better than just using said plutonium to produce steam "directly"?

So how are you supposed to heat Thorium fuel cores? I've managed to find a grand total of 1 video guide on the reactor and its like 2 years old so I don't trust anything I see there. Not to mention that having an empty boiler just to transfer heat sounds a bit like a placeholder which it probably was 2 years ago...

I'm experimenting by just having regular fuel cores next to thorium ones but it looks like I'd need to have quite a lot of them if it even works at all.

I just didn't want to go through hours of adding mods one by one regenerating End each time to see which one is responsible for messing up with End ore generation only to find out I wasn't even supposed to see them after killing End Dragon. Now that you assured World Reveal from killing it is the one that reveals End ores, I spent a few hours trying to isolate the problem and it turns out it was Space Research mod (addon to Galacticraft) that messed it up. Disabling it's ores generation in config didn't do anything so I'm just removing it, never got around to playing with it yet anyway. I have no idea why its author decided to completely disable any ore gen in the End including Chromaticrafts, Draconic Evolution, Reactocraft's pitchblende too as I now realized, and probably other mods as well. Anyway, fixed now, thanks again :)
