i apologize if i came across a bit rude, but i found it a bit rude that you would remove minecraft's name off their own product. and i don't enjoy lag at all. not at all good sir. and i do respect people. this is why i am asking for a standalone version of the blocks of the mod.

your mod does cause lag that is why i do not have it installed. so much lag that when i mine a block it comes back and i have to mine it again, same block mined twice maybe three times. specifically i have found that it is the minestrappolation ores doing this and the normal ores don't. other than the lag and the title thing the mod is cool.

    Nevermind.

I am not saying that it looks bad it is actually pretty decent. But he has nothing on mod making and still he is saying things with no right what so ever!

Actually to be completely honest, I have begun creating a mod of my own. I have a small team and we are in the early stages of it's development. Since I love 7 days to die, it will be tilted towards the survival-realism side of things with an emphasis on using as much vanilla content as possible so it wont have to become a core mod. My Minecraft inspiration comes from the following mods:

    1. Minestrappolation
    2. Better Beginnings
    3. Vintagecraft
    4. Improving Minecraft
    5. Terrafirmacraft

While I am the main artist, I do plan on doing some coding to further my Java knowledge. Some additional artwork.

If english is your second language then I can understand the typos and other stuff. It's cool to speak more than 1 language.

The difference between you and I is that I did not create a web page titled:

    "Why you shouldn't use MCreator"

I would never feel compelled to make a 'Why you should not play any Minecraft Mods by Lapis Sea".

I'll tell you what, since I just returned to Minecraft, I will gladly show you any modding related content that I make for the game. I tend to do pixel art at the moment but am also in the process of learning how to create forge mods using Java. I have some C/C++ programming knowledge so the transition will hopefully not be too hard.

Actually here are a few textures that I have recently made using Gimp. The first is for an oven and the second is for a generic futuristic crafting device. They are not part of a mod, but I might try to use them If I get around to actually making a mod myself.

    Stuff

You know what, after reading the thread again, I will man up and appologize to you as you did attempt to point the op to the right place. The snide comments regarding someones work is what got me riled up. I have been looking at MCreator in an attempt to help the op, but I have not used it before so I will need to see if I can solve the problem. Maybe I can, maybe I can't.

I will say that I find the whole MCreator debate rather interesting. As someone who has a stack of Java books sitting next to me, I can see why some may opt for a modding tool as many people simply don't have the desire or patience to put in the work to learn how to code their own mods. I still don't think it is appropriate for anyone to judge someone just because they can't or don't want to learn Java.

Having been out of the Minecraft community for a few years ( I have been busy modding and playing 7 days to die), I can also understand the frustration that may come from seeing MCreator issues continually posted over and over. I guess I missed the whole MCreator craze during my absence.

So again, please accept my apology as I did not mean to get all bent out of shape.

Let's also look at your brilliant body of work while we are at it since you appear to be someone who puts others down because they make low quality mods or non-creative mods.

    From your own web page:

    Magiology
This is my main mod that is based on manipulating magic with tech. I is one of the more beautiful mods, kinda like Thaumcraft. But it is highly customizable so you can easily turn of an effect if it is lagging you. Also this mod is aiming to be something original so there is no standard ore doubling, or a jet-packs or anything like that.

Typos and bad grammar aside, you compare your mod to Thaumcraft, but then on your web page you say the following:

"MCreator is good for simple mods without any real content like buildcraft, thaumcraft, etc... If you want to make something more complex than a block than do not try to make it in MCreator. It is much better (and possible) to just learn Java."

So you say your mod is beautiful like Thaumcraft and then on your web page you call it a simple mod without any real content. So Thaumcraft is a simple mod with little content, that is beautiful? Is that correct? Seems like you are comparing your mod to something you are actually criticizing. I don't think I would ever bother to try your mod based on your own description.

    Stinky wolf 20
Was a little joke mod from direwoolf20-s agrarian skies 2 lets play series. It changes a sign text if you write on it direwoolf20 or dire. It is made in 15 min so don't expect much. :P

Ahhh, good old Stinky wolf 20. Now this is perhaps something that is complex and creative? Doesn't really look like it from your description. I guess I would probably pass on this modtoo, even if you did spend an entire 15 minutes on it.

And last but certainly not least we have the awesome looking...

    Weird little html game
    Feel free to play.
It's a game that is entirely made in HTML/JavaScript so that means no downloading/installing.
Controls: A: repels enemy's, D: slows down the player for more control over movement, mouse click: shoot.
Tip: eat food to gain fire and repelling power!

This is not even a minecraft mod, so I will refrain from commenting any more about it.

So there we have it. Your apparent body of modding work. Now if I missed your page where you keep your complex and creative mods, then please accept my apology. If I did not, then how in the world do you feel you have any business telling anyone anything regarding creativity or complexity regarding modding design? Based on your body of work, you really should not be telling anyone anything related to Minecraft Modding.

So prove me wrong and point me to your awesome mods so I can play them and learn how to be a better Minecraft modder.

I remember the days when people that used mcreator would lissent to great and helpful replies. And now one of the smartest guys on this forum period can't put some sense to people like you! What has happened to MCreator community!? I mean before it got a lot of hate because of spam with generic low quality mods but now it's just people that will not lissen to somebody at any cost!

This probably won't change your opinion about MCreator but it's worth a shot: http://lapissea.byethost8.com/WhyYouShouldn'tUseMCreator/

I am at the point where I can't act diplomatic any more! Because it is no more useful... Before of you yelled at someone he wouldn't lissen at you and you had to be nice and diplomatic for them to take you serously... And now? It's the exact opposite! :,(

    From your web page:

"Note: I do not mean any harm towards Pylo team or any sort of hate.
But I do not like people that are constantly asking about how to make mods without Java or how to fix a bug in MCreator and messages in that context."

So how is it that you say that you don't mean any harm to Pylo and his team when you go out and create a web page with the sole purpose of telling people not to use his modding tool and then try to give reasons why they should not use it?

Isn't that kind of hating on Pylo when the entire point of his project is to allow people to make Minecraft mods? We can like or dislike his modding tool, but you are taking it to the next level my friend. You are a hater.

This is probably the worst MCreator thread that i have seen in a looong time.

Please read this page that I made that is explaining the issue! http://lapissea.byethost8.com/WhyYouShouldn'tUseMCreator/

That is so terribly wrong example that to me it is cringe worthy!
Lets translate what you said to this topic:
Why would anyone want to program a mod with anything other than a code/mod generator such as MCreator?
To that I can say: Replicate some things that I have made with writing in java with MCreator. For an example make an animated pair of wings that has player energy usage, different flight modes/physics. Or make a structure of smart pipes that interact with inventory entity's and other things from your mod. Or make a user customizable hologram... etc. Or just replicate some popular mods like buildcraft or thaumcraft...
Wait what is that? You can't?! MCreator can't do that??? That is the answer to why you would want to program a mod not generate one.

I guess they don't teach reading in school anymore :( Let me walk you through this nice and slowly. First, someone posts a question in a forum of all places (gasp). I will say that this was not the best location, but let's not split hairs here. Second, forum snobs like you and Jcm come prancing in and act very rude to the original poster. Third, after spending years silently reading crap posted by snobs like you and Jcm, I finally decided to say something because I hate forum snobs and worse yet, programming snobs.

What should have been done was to first, point out that this is the wrong forum for this question and to point out that there is a MCreator thread that might be a better place to ask the question(s). There is no need to act like an asshat just because someone might have the audacity to use MCreator. It is not up to you or anyone else to judge anything. If you have nothing to add to the conversation, then do the world a favor and shut your mouth. But you forum snobs can't do that. Your little feelings get all bent out of shape when someone appears to go against the might club of programmers. How dare the user not take several years to learn Java. Shame on them for wanting to dip their toe into the modding waters.

I had never seen MCreator until I stumbled upon this thread as the title made me a bit curious. I prefer to do my minecraft modding via the regular coding method, but who am I to tell someone that they can't mess around with a modding tool. It's not for me to say anything, and the same applies to you and everyone else. What should be said is to point the person in the right direction or to attempt to help them. Coming into a thread and posting crap serves no purpose other than to increase ones post count.

I will actually try to help the poster since I like helping out whenever possible. I may or may not be able to solve their problem, but I will try. I will also never be rude to anyone with a question because everyone has to start modding someplace. If someone dares to use MCreator to mess around with, perhaps they may get the urge to take the Java plunge and start to learn how to code. Others may not as they may not be cut out for programming (it's not for everyone), so they use whatever tools are available. I am not going to bother debating the merits of MCreator as I simply don't have an opinion about it.

I will do this and say sorry for getting a bit personal with my replies as this stuff gets me a bit angry.

    Was that so hard Jcm2606?

One last point regarding your analogy. Why would anyone want to simulate radial velocity with anything other than a radial velocity simulator? Are there random simulators out on the web that can just simulate anything, or did you google that or consult Wikipedia? I also would expect that a Physics professor may not care all that much about radial velocity, but an astronomy professor actually might care :)

At the end of the day, we can both agree that it is always better to write your own code, but I will not jump up on a soap box and claim that if someone uses a minecraft modding tool to try to create something or to try to learn a little about minecraft modding that is is somehow going to harm the modding community. I will simply be polite and try to point them in the right direction which in this case is the already lengthy MCreator thread in the Minecraft tools forum or *gasp* actually try to help them in the forum where they posted their original question.

Ignore Jcm2606. He is on an MCreator hate mission or something like that. I will be happy to try and help you, but you need to be a bit more specific about what you are trying to do and how you tried to do it.

You can export mods created with MCreator as long as you follow the correct steps. You can also compile it's generated code, but you will need to do a fair amount of work to do that. You will need to install forge on your PC as well as Eclipse. You will then need to create a workspace for your mod and then piece everything together in a manner that Eclipse will understand and be able to use. You will not be able to simple copy the MCreator code and then compile it.

If you wish to try to learn how to "code", I will recommend a book called "Minecraft Modding with Forge" by Arun Gupta & Aditya Gupta. It is a nice place to start with regard to learning how to manually create forge mods for Minecraft.

Listen, I don't have any vested interest in MCreator, so I don't care if one uses it or if one does not. What I do care about are forum snobs who get all bent out of shape when someone asks a question that seems to hurt their feelings.

I read your "text" file and it is really pretty bad. Poorly thought out and full of "your opinions". I hope you realize that opinions do not equal facts. But enough about your little hate crusade. If you are just a kid, then I should cut you some slack as you may not be old enough to see the error of your ways. if not, then shame on you.

Please Jcm2606, stop with the "we" stuff. You do not speak for anyone other than yourself. What should be said is that people with questions should try posting them in the correct thread so that people like Jcm2606 don't get all worked up over them.

I'll go against the grain and say that you should ignore Jcm2606. I am not sure who the "we" is that he is refering to, but I will gladly help anyone with a question regarding any Minecraft topic. I don't care if it is about MCreator, ZCreator, DCreator or any other Minecraft related tool.
