I just got the game about 2 days ago, and am pretty terrible :tongue.gif: I'm determined to learn zerg, as it seems like the coolest race and it matches my playstyle pretty well (sending out swarms of minions and watching them kill everything is oh so awesome!)

A house I've been working on for quite some time, and I decided that I needed a bit of help with some of the rooms, so I ask you, fellow minecrafters, what do you think of my humble abode?

Here goes, this is a WIP so likely to change. This is my first attempt at a structured base, but I have lots of ideas for future building. This is supposed to have a Norse feel, still more to come with external lanterns and bracing / cladding.
1) Approach from my old base, entrance at the bottom blocked off with dirt/gravel to keep wandering mobs out during construction, there are 3 entrances and 1 tunnel which leads into my nether portal cave.
The central column is circular, with rings of varying diameter. The bottom layer is work/storage, the centre spiral staircase, the top living quarters (kitchen / lounge / etc). There is a roof lookout at the very top, which reaches to the build limit.

Hey guys I recently got doom 2 and it's absolutley beautiful. The sheer grace that follows blowing up a walking-head with a minigun is just mesmerising. Do any of you play doom still? I realize it's pretty old but it's too good not to play.

keep in mind nothing is furnished as of yet because I'm trying to complete the entire thing first.

Hey guys I'm not sure if this belongs here and I was going to post in the suggestion forum but I'm pretty sure thats just for minecraft stuff.
Anyways, I think we should have a thread in the survival alpha section dedicated to simple questions, so that people can ask their q's in a designated forum without having to spam the page with threads and bumps. I just think this would cut down on the number of threads made a day and make the board cleaner.
