Yeah, animating models like Chests have to be Entities, If they were animating models it would help editing them to different designs and allow easier block animation for other blocks too,
Dynamic rendering of .json is a simple model swap, Vanilla Torches and Redstone Dust do this, as do both the Hopper Ducts and Redstone Paste mods (Both by FyberOptic), as for slots they dropped the 1, 2, 3 id's for minecraft:stone or stone, mod alpha's stone as modalpha:stone make it easier to add custom blocks without hitting the originals, of course you can replace the originals both inside a mod and in a resource pack...

Also check out the Default 3d Resource Pack (By Know2Good) for some good .json model work, and for shaped 1.8 blocks the Better Foliage Mod (By octarine_noise)
As for mixing the old into the new styles Malisis Core/Doors/Blocks (By Ordinastie) has somehow managed it,
1.9 should add the rotation of blocks to the placement code reducing most directional facing blocks by at least 3 models, good for reducing the games memory requirement and speeding up block searching, vanilla has a whole load of hidden blocks, the corner stairs for example.
NotEnoughItems does not have the time, gamemode, enchantments,
precipitation and magnet buttons. There is only an empty space there.
Clicking there does not do anything.
Check which mode you have NEI in, as these change depending on the set mode, creative creative+ etc in NEI
Thank you so much! I once played a mod pack with a mod similar to this, but it was part and parcel to the Map mod, and that map was not updated. Having light to carry with me again is so comforting... Thanks to you, I'm not scared to mine the deepest caves with my wolf safe at home! =^..^= I hope that when the combat update comes out, you will be able to update this mod. Having a torch in one hand and my pick in another will make mining even less dangerous for me.

And with all the water shaders breaking night vision, I need all the light i can get!
i got te mod it worked but i dont have the block mixer did you remove it?

Mod separation with MalisisBlocks :
A new mod called MalisisBlocks is now holding all the non-door related blocks from MalisisDoors. Blocks that have moved are :
- Block Mixer and Mixed Blocks
- Vanishing Blocks
- Player Sensor.

Didn't think that would actually work, but it does. Don't have to push out a new version then after all (1.8.8 is close anyway).
Had the same bug myself, earlier in the day used the same fix, was actually just on forums at that time to post the config fix, but rockin_ryan beat me to mentioning the crash, I got to mention the fix anyway

EDIT: Forge for 1.8.8 is available, some 1.8 mods may work, most may fail.

Trans-dimensional teleporting is not possible because the teleport function uses the /tp chat command.
I think I saw differently colored pastes in one screenshot (orange and green/default). This is perfect for color-coded circuits that don't interact with different colors, to prevent accidental breaking of complex wiring.
You can set the two colours used in the config, as for symultanious multicolours that's a suggestion for the mod maker.
Malisis now has double doors working, and you may be able to support that mods animation options.
With the Carrage Lantern sneaked light, the texture doesnt't change when off only the particle effects, may I suggest the Redstone unlit texture for that.
Chimneys available in a different mod - Refer to my pm regarding them.

Forge 1577 is available for 1.8 if you click the 1.8 on the forge site and select 1.8
As for Optifine 1.8.8 for Forge,that hasn't been released yet that I know of...

Which version of mc and which optifine, I use the latest forge (1577) for 1.8 and OptiFine 1.8.0 HD U F8, this combo works fine for me

Fix for the above crash...
Change a setting in LunatriusCore.cfg
From: B:replaceInGameConfig=true
To: B:replaceInGameConfig=false
And this seems to fix the aforementioned crash

Were you aware that all shader packs that change the water shaders somehow break vanilla night vision potions.
Could you look into this and maybe provide an in-shader fix please.
