Your singleplayer maps are stored in the .minecraft folder under "saves" (C: -> users -> (your user folder) -> AppData -> Roaming -> .minecraft -> saves ). To make it your server map just copy it into your server folder and replace any "world" folder you might already have.
Alright tanks for the help! Looks like I was making this more complicated than it needed to be!
While I've played for years I'm just starting up a server. I was wondering if I could use an already played on Singleplayer map, and use it in my server so my friends and I can get a head start with all the gear I've already made. How would I go about this? Also, is it possible to put this map back into a Singleplayer world after I've played with my friends and play on the map with all the builds my friends and I made in Singleplayer?
Since 1.10 has now allowed Villages to spawn in Taiga biomes, do they also spawn in Snow Taiga Biomes? Or are they just limited to regular Taiga biomes?
Though it adds a touch of realism to deserts, I think that adding lush to the biome would kill the dry, "desert" mood. And deserts are hardy bland (*ahem*, Desert Villages, *cough*, Buried Dungeons, *wheeze*, Desert Temples and Wells). Also, its advisable to not use "Coming Soon"; fully develop your idea before posting it.

It's a decent concept for adding a little more to deserts than vast expanses of nothing. I think it'd be good for a new tree type. Support!
Another reason could possibly be due to the amount of materials inside the chest. As the chest has more spaces filled up, it's speed goes down significantly. If your system of powered rails (or whatever way you propel it) doesn't provide enough power or is spaced out too far, then the cart may just be getting stranded on the rails. It wouldn't hurt to check and follow its journey either.
There aren't really "requirements" for building a castle. I've certainly done it in survival before, it'll take a lot of mining and work but once it's built then you'll be glad you did it!
It is somewhat cheaty, as you can see the biomes, villages, strongholds, as well as pyramids around you. However, you can choose to disable the icons for those, so you only can see stronghold locations. It's simple, just input the seed for your world or from the file itself, it shows you where you are, and gives an extremely easy to use way to find exact coordinates for the stronghold. Just beware, that it is not a guarantee that the stronghold is there. Sometimes it'll be wrong, but it is pretty accurate. Hope this helped!
I too feel that putting it to peaceful is "cheating," but I still enjoy the reinforcement mechanic as now night-time is actually something to be feared in my world. It used to be I just ran around killing everything and getting materials but now I actually need to plan out or stay home or sleep in a bed. Now my castle is actually used for defending instead of just sitting there to look nice. That being said, I do see your point, the new zombie mechanics do ruin exploration of the beautiful world a bit. But my solution is to get a horse and gallop around, killing mobs and out running the zombies. If that does ruing the ability to see the world then get on top of a mountain or hill, enjoy the scenery and once the mobs get close, run. I'm not an explorer though, so I won't really have the solution you're looking for unfortunately.
So I've been seeing mixed responses in regards to changes in the ocean generation in the new snapshot. Apparently oceans are no longer going to be the gigantic size they were are are going to be small and more like small ponds. But there's also the new deep ocean biome which the ocean is many blocks deep. Could someone explain this to me?
Once, I was trying to carefully make my way into a ravine, then I turned around a sheep was in my face and baaa'd. It scared me so much I jumped back into the ravine and died
I've been having an issue with the texture pack, the grass seems to be the same top color in all biomes, I'm not using optifine or any other mods (although I can use them if necassary)
