I just downloaded Minecraft: Bedrock edition for my computer, and I wanted to rename the shortcuts on my desktop for it and for the Java version so that I could distinguish between them, but in the process, I seem to have created a duplicate shortcut for the Java version that doesn't do anything and I can't delete the duplicate because it isn't in the file directory that it thinks it's in. (It thinks it's with the rest of my desktop apps, but it isn't and I don't know where else it might have ended up.) How do I fix this?
Both of my sisters are trying to play Mineplex on our Xbox One, and it looks like you're supposed to be able to play splitscreen, but when one of them joins the other one, player 1 is disconnected and player 2 is stuck on a loading screen. After player 1 hits the "ok" button on her screen, player 2 is kicked and player 1 has an error message that says something about not being able to read a packet, I think. This might be a bug, or it could just be because we don't have gold accounts or because my sisters have different privileges. Does anyone else have this problem?
I have tge same problem. One day my sister is on Mineplex, and the next, the game won't launch. I have a few ideas what might be wrong.
First, my dad thinks the servers (and I'm not talking about Lifeboat, Mineplex, etc.) are overwhelmed because EVERYBODY is trying to play the game, which I think could have been predicted and avoided if the beta had been made available to all the platforms, but there is probably a good reason why it wasn't.
Second, it might be a problem with the console. I remember having a similar problem with a game called TRON run/r a while ago.
Third, I looked at a page on Microsoft support about what to do if the game freezes, and eventually it told me to double-check that I am using the account that bought the game. No one bought it, it was installed automatically by the Xbox One edition. That might be causing problems.
I also want to see if it works on my sister's iPad to narrow down the possibilities of what the problem might be.
I are a copy of the download version of Minecraft Xbox One edition, and so I also have a copy of the Bedrock version, but the Bedrock version won't launch. Does anyone have ideas for what is wrong?
1.8 worked great. Thank you again. The only problem I had was that every time I died on the bat parkour level, all the bats turned invisible, but reloading the world fixed that.:D
I tried to play it, but after I clicked the sign that says, "Click me to start." and spawned in the house, I think the commands stopped working. I wasn't getting raw text in the chat, the furniture that the commands were supposed to add was invisible, although the couch in front of the TV and the table and chairs in the corner near the kitchen were emitting gray swirly particles, like they were just under the invisibility effect, and when I entered the bedroom, the map didn't start. Here is everything that I think might have been the problem.
I'm playing on version 1.12
The internet sites that the link in the OP led me to were unsafe
When I unzipped the file, there were two files inside it. One was the map, and the other one was called, _MACOSX. I don't know what that last one was, so I just left it in the saves directory.
The very first thing I did in the world was place a command block at the center of the wooden platform where you spawn, which I later found out has a cluster of other command blocks underneath the block I placed mine on, and I copied and pasted the furniture command into my block. I'm not actually sure if this is the problem because since then, I have deleted and reinstalled the world twice and haven't re-implemented the command a second time.
I can't pretend to understand how the commands work, so I can't fix the world myself. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

Apparently, the duplicate disappeared.

It worked for me too! This is a good time for a "hallelujah".

It works for me now too. (Yay!) Technically, it was my sister who was playing when I found out that it works, but that shouldn't matter (hopefully).

I think I broke the map.
