I play single player survival, the only thing I change is; I open up a lan game and allow cheats type "/gamerule mobGriefing false" then restart the game (to turn cheats back off)
I hate fixing creeper holes.
I usually build me a nice little house, a small farm and a mine. once I get some armor and supplies, I set out looking for a village to fix up.

all of the threads seem to be from people on laptops with AMD processors.
Any helpful suggestions would be welcome here

I got the 1.9pre file, and when I try to create a new game it crashes minecraft (log file at end of post). I can open and run all of my existing worlds with no problems.
heres the log file contents (cut/paste) just the header, should be enough info. if not, I will post the entire thing.
