Hope was never lost, really, I have to thank you all who have following lemon's development up until now, and you guys were a great community. I hope you provide the same support for WildBamaBoy. -

I won't be taking suggestions for new content until Spider Queen is restored to its original functionality within 1.7.2.
Well, thank you!
Well, it's good to know people are willing to continue this mod, no matter how long it takes, and instead of just killing it, pass it on to good, dependable people.
Say, by originality, will you make spider queen exactly as it was, or will you take some stuff from the 'webbing module' lemonszz made?
(like the 3d, non-wool ball shaped webbing) -

WildBamaBoy posted a message on [WIP] The Spider QueenA note to those following this thread: As lemonszz said, I will be taking over development and I will bring this mod back.Posted in: WIP Mods
I'm not sure if I'll put up a work-in-progress thread yet, but know that Spider Queen will be rewritten from scratch using the original 1.2.5 code as an example. It will use Forge, of course, and will start on Minecraft version 1.7.2. I won't be taking suggestions for new content until Spider Queen is restored to its original functionality within 1.7.2.Quote from mariosuperstar384
Don't be sad, the mod is still being developed, just under a different author. And I can bet you, the guy who wants to work on this will definitely do a good job on it. He made Minecraft Comes Alive (a great mod that basically makes villagers a lot cooler) and I'm almost certain he will make this mod into something excellent as well.
Well, thank you! -

lemonszz posted a message on [WIP] The Spider QueenAright here's the announcement:Posted in: WIP Mods
I am no longer working on this mod. I will not pay a role in it's development and I will not be making any decisions for it.
HOWEVER
Someone else is working on it, someone who could probably do a better job at it than me,WildBamaBoy, the developer of such mods as Minecraft Comes Alive. It is now up to him what he does with it, how he does it.
You can still post your comments and suggestions here (for now), as I'm sure WildBamaBoy will be reading over them.
Thanks to everyone who has commented, downloaded and supported this mod. -

Netherworld' Fire spiders,Spider demons, only in the Nether some other stuff idk.
Maybe your spiders can go there with you to' and they have awareness of staying away from the lava?
Finding in a special chest a kind of stone or staff/Wand to summon a blaze on your side or bat that shoots fire?
Just some ideas if it happens cool if not' still cool. lol
Nether spiders can be neat, and I would like spiders to avoid lava, cacti, deep drops, and anything that might kill them. Because really, who wants to takes their army of spiders across a desert and have over half of them die on the way because they didn't avoid cacti and lava lakes?
The blaze and fire-shooting bat is 100% irrelevant to the mod, so I doubt it will be added

I'd rather just stick to not trusting Minecraft AI to do anything intelligent.
Why should we use Minecraft AI? as you said, it's pretty stupid. Food and drops(like cliffs, not item drops) are about all they can notice -

I'd rather have slow releases and good content then shabby content and fast releases
I agree, I'm just stating why Dj might have done it.Quote from Void_Miner
Hey sorry for bad forum etiquette. I am a kid and also new to using forums (and yes, excited). My mom is helping me make this post and I will ask her for help when I post so I don't make mistakes like that double post.
When I started on the forums on the lego forums, I had to do it myself, and thus, had a lot of ideas and trades rejected, because I was 10 at the time.Quote from lemonszz
I'm not always worried about difficulty to code, more about high quality and fun.
Although if you haven't noticed, this makes it slow to release anything.
Do the fundamentals in each x.00.00 release, then in each release to support that release, refine the original release of that release. -

I'm thinking the 'Plop the eggs near cocoon and get full grown spider' thing was because it was easier to code.

I would be nice though, better then the 'plop eggs near cocoon and get full grown spider just because'
So you have
1.baby spiders: newborn spider . probably weak, no special ability, easy to get and easy to lose
2.'fed spiders':spiders: that ate cocoons. stronger, some abilities, harder to get and lose, but not that hard
3.special spiders:spiders that are special. and rare. very rare. and special.
I think it'll be nice if spiders are born really weak and tiny, and you grow them by feeding them cocoons.
a spider should get traits from each cocoon they eat, and after 5ish cocoons, they should be full grown.
Each cocoon can give a trait like
Zombie: spider gets damage/speed boost per health lost. The more zombies eaten, the more damage/speed gained per health lost
Skeleton: spider can shoot webbing to attack. shot strength and speed upgrades every time it eats another skeleton
Cave spider: Spider gets venom. Venom duration and potency upgrades per Cspider eaten
Iron golem: gets damage boost and health boost
Snow golem: Same as skeleton. Range and accuracy upgrades per snowgolem eaten
Witch:can give itself potion effects. Duration of potion and potion usage speed upgrade per witch eaten
etc, etc, etc
Also, getting a 'special boost' when fed exclusively on one mob would be fun too, like
Zombie-only: On death, spawns a hord of tiny spiders that will attempt to complete whatever task you set the spider, and dies when task is complete(a take on the zombies 'reinforcement' ability)
Iron golem-only: gains the ability to throw mobs into the air with attack. Gains huge boost in health and damage
Endermen-only: Ability to teleport
Cave Spider-only: shrinks to size 1x1,
etc, etc
Only random late-night thoughts, just like you lemonszz
Capturing mobs and feeding them to your spiders so they can get special abilities?
That'd be awesome. Great idea. - To post a comment, please login.

Are we going to be able to put what ever type of queen skin we make or have already with the mod spider wise?
Is she going to look a bit more different?
Is the plant girl going to be in the mod still I liked that mob was a challenge in the game to get'
You had to put a web block to stop her vines from attacking you in order to get the seed you need from her.
