The amount of times I've rewatched this video, that is also overwhelming.
Freakin' awesome though, especially the music and the battle scene.
Now if you will excuse me, I need to rewatch it again. -

I swear, don't you even DARE repeat what "EA" has done to the games that have fallen in their hands. I swear, in your hands, this game better THRIVE.
You pretty much just summed up the entire community's thoughts right there. -

Nuke realm
Close Mojang account

Did I forget anything?
Hopefully you won't need to do that on Monday, but if you do I think you've probably got about all of it. -

My new gaming labtop's hard-drive is making those terrible grinding noises too. But sadly, I don't know how to turn off the search indexer service.
I don't know about Windows 8, but for Windows 7 you can open up the task manager, go to the services tab, hit the Services button on said tab, and find the search indexer (Presumably Windows Search Indexer) in the list of services, right-click it and select properties, set startup type to "Manual" or "Disabled", and stop the service. Your hard-drive shouldn't make grindy sounds, assuming it's grindy sounds are the search indexer. -

1. Why do you hate Windows? And they're stupid because you don't like their OS?
2. If you're referring to Windows 8, then get a start screen fixer or some crap.
It's not Windows 8 (thank goodness), but everything MS gets ahold of seems to bug out horribly. Skype for example used to work great, but it's been getting steadily buggier and less usable (crashes, more dropped calls, etc) and Windows has had a tendancy of blowing up in my face.
For example, I was trying to remove some shortcuts and instead Windows was trying to delete the files the shortcuts were attached to.
Another example: The default search indexer has been running too much and it makes my hard-drive make terrible grindy noises every 5 seconds, which caused me to turn off the search indexer's service because the noise was driving me nuts.
EDIT: Oh yeah, also, don't doublepost unless *absolutely* necessary, please. -

Oh, they are stupid enough to do those kinds of things. I've been stuck with their OS and I hate Windows and want to switch to Linux, but too many programs I need don't work on Linux yet. -

Or switch to an open-source recreation of Minecraft, there are a ton out there, probably too many to list. (I might also get a warning for "advertising" them, so I'll pass on that risk.) -

LOL Minecraft is pay to play unless you pirated it. Now tell us the truth, did you pirate it?
You completely missed the point.
Quote from lblackburn»Thank you tulir293. I cannot prove that I didn't pirate the game and I don't feel inclined to try. Only Mojang can do that if they kept a sales confirmation that can be tied to my user name. Furthermore, that is exactly what I meant. After buying Minecraft once for a certain amount of dollars or euros, I do not intend to keep paying to play and I do not intend to keep paying for updated versions. Microsoft should realize that if they alienate 95% of the community they are not going to get a good return on their investment.
Well said! -
Sep 11, 2014CliffracerX posted a message on Microsoft Buying Minecraft?Posted in: NewsQuote from Silverbane_7»it will be the same for xbox 1 users.
for the rest of us, the pc and mac users, we wont get updates or be able to log into the server (so you can kiss your FTB or Technic goodbye unless the launcehr makers create a patch or something befor they go)
mobile and non microsoft console will be the same as it is now, but no more support or updates for you.
xbox360 wont get any more work done in it, simply because its considered obsolete by microsoft mostly (yeah, you can still get games for it but they realy dont WANT you to buy em *waves shiney new xbox1* )
and dont forget that you will have to buy extra service to use the online function , since im sure they will want to make that 2bil back somehow and charging $150-$200 dollar a day for the new and improved MINECON *now only available in the USA!* isnt going to manage that...
*starts looking for a new, moddable crafting game* its been nice peeps....
There's quite a few open source ones, I'm not going to mention any though because someone I know got a warning (even though they were inside the rules) for "advertising". Presumably it's just overstressed mods giving out a few too many warnings by accident, but I don't know. -

Minecraft is a community-based game, so if 99% of the community hates MS and decides to quit then Minecraft is effectively a dead game. -

Bukkit is what ran all the big servers that anybody cared about, and playing since indev won't change that or make you any more magically important.
Bukkit is dead, which means all the big servers (Hypixel, MGamer, etc) are going to need a new API to use.
Those servers will not be usable if a 1.9 manages to come out not under the control of Microsoft. - To post a comment, please login.

When people stop asking for the 1.8 update, probably.
In all seriousness, I don't know when or if there will ever be a 1.8 version, I'm mostly here for tech support and OCCASIONALLY help with programming the mod. Judging by the Github repo, I would say it's still a while yet before we see 1.8 supported.
0
The mod had to be completely rewritten for 1.7.10, so most old features are missing.
0
I really need to pay more attention to this, I should be around for tech support.
Anyway, I never even installed Java 8 on my computer, so you really shouldn't need Java 8 unless LexManos decided to pull his typical weirdness and make Forge for 1.7.10 require Java 8 from now on.
It looks like you might've gotten a corrupted version or something, as it really shouldn't be throwing a ClassNotFound about the main mod file.
<MANY APOLOGIES ABOUT THE NECRO-ING OF THE TOPIC!>

I don't have any json for animated models to look at unfortunately, unless I'm a dumb and it turns out you can view the json of models on the website.
EDIT: Oh. I'm dumb. NEVERMIND!

Finally decided to try the animation system, can't seem to get more than one component to render at a time though.
Any chance we could see a more advanced animation tutorial on the website?

I probably will use some ideas from that, making little other types of goo to go alongside the general "tiers" thing.
Also...Would that mean Cliffie's Goos is currently the only "world ending goo mod" available for 1.7.10 right now? That would be bragging rights.
0
Ugh, sorry about being so late and sort of leaving the mod in an "abandoned/discontinued" state. I've been sort of burned out on Minecraft lately, I will be probably trying to pick up the mod again soon with the Tier 4 goo, and possibly some other things.
I'll take down some of the junk parts of the old poll and leave it to just "rating and why do you like the mod", should make it take up less of the page.
Please give suggestions on what you want to see next, aside from Tier 4 goo and Anti-Taint. Anti-Taint was already half implemented in the 1.7.10 version, thanks to my fellow modder who helped update it. I will be finishing the anti taint, and researching how I should make the Tier 4 goo work.

What Minecraft version are you using, along with Forge version? It seems likely you could be using the wrong version of Minecraft and/or Forge for the mods you tried to install.

Yes.

Also. NEVER USE SITES LIKE MINECRAFTDL. EVER.
By my knowledge, they are illegal, possibly virus-ridden, and generally NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
Don't use them, not even if you otherwise wouldn't be able to download the mod.
Mkay?

It'll work most likely, but you really should buy Minecraft instead of using the less-than-legal versions.
0
That doesn't fit in the "tiny medieval toy soldier" theme of the mod IMO.
Unless San says otherwise, I'm pretty sure the answer is "no.".

Probably something on NEI's side, I might look into it at some point when I'm not so busy. Could just be we're adding crafting in unconventional ways and it's making NEI freak out, but I dunno.
