It wouldn't be Minecraft if it didn't induce a little anxiety from time to time. I still jump a little when a creeper comes out of nowhere.
You may want to build yourself up to it. Start by playing on peaceful. Get your head around navigating in darkness. Start playing with the idea that you always need to watch you back. When you feel comfortable enough in the dark, switch to easy. Mobs are incredibly easy to kill on this setting.
Throw yourself in the deep end. One you get over that initial learning curve, you'll be in and out of dark caves like there's no tomorrow.

Has anyone used this to find strongholds? Just wondering what they actually look like when you toggle the underground setting on.

I've walked into lava a few times. Not fallen. Walked.
Sometimes I zone out when I'm mining and my reflexes just fail me!

I've noticed that this generally happens to me whenever there's an update. It seems to clear up after a few hours of playing for some reason.

Thanks. I wanted to know before I set out to look for a new extreme hills biome. Looks like I'll be doing the mission! Or might even just start a new world.

Just to confirm - I don't need to find a brand new extreme hills biome to find emeralds, they will just replace certain stone blocks in chunks that have already been loaded?

Gotye has done alright here. That last song was immensely popular. I didn't really take to it to be honest. I prefer Heart's A Mess from an earlier album.

Yeah, I heard Gotye's making waves in the US.

And Crowe is a self proclaimed Australian. So regardless of what you think of him, I guess we're stuck with him

Breaking Bad is definitely one of the best shows on TV at the moment. I'll have to queue up the episode and watch it tonight!
