I was just wondering... With all the folders and files that MC uses, does that fragment the disc really badly?
I've been relying on Windows 7 that automatically runs the defragment program of it's own and MC runs fine for me, starts up in 2 blinks of an eye and doesn't slow down while I'm playing offering me FPS between 70 and 180, but it's just got me curious if MC would fragment a disc really badly with all the files and folders that it uses to save the game.
Make an XNOR gate, as shown here. The output (the door) will be true if the two inputs (the pressure plate and a lever inside your house which "locks" the pressure plate) are equal to each other.
When the lever is true and the pressure plate is true, the door will be open.
If the lever is false and the pressure plate is true, the door will be closed.
If the lever is true and the pressure plate is false, the door will be closed.
Edit:
Use stone pressure plates: problem solved. Only YOU can activate stone pressure plates.
According to the Minecraft wiki, pressure plates will be activated when a mob steps on them, if wooden, dropped items will also activate it. Unfortunately, "mobs" covers creepers.
Will this allow the pressure plates to open the door from both sides?
I'd like to lock my front door as putting a pressure plate at the front door on both sides will allow it to open when I want to stand next to the front door to fight any mobs at my front door and I'd rather place a lock of some sort next to the front door that will sort of disable the inside stone pressure plate so that it doesn't open the door when I want to stand next to it to fight the mob on the other side of the door.
Hmm can't seem to get it to snow with this mod installed. Don't know if the area that I'm in is not cold enough (there's snow on the ground and the water is frozen, but it doesn't snow) or maybe a conflicting mod (don't think so since none of the other mods that I have use the same class files as this snowmod.
Oh well, hopefully Notch will provide snow and rain in beta.

Hi guys, first post.
I'm getting a black screen freeze after login with this mod. Minecraft is updated to 1.1_02 and I've added all the files to minecraft.jar. Any suggestions on how to fix?
callmemitchs, make sure that you've removed the META-INF folder inside of the minecraft.jar file like you need to do with all mods.
Can I assume this will only work with texture packs that are the original 16x size?
I tested out decompiling my terrain.png file which is 64x size terrain and about 287 small 16x16 images were created, none of which corresponded to what is in my texture pack, for example, one named sand is actually part of a grass block, and some blocks came out in odd sizes like 31x49 etc.
I'll try it as I requested this a couple of weeks ago and the answer that I received was"
'Press the Inventory hotkey and the 'W' hotkey at the same time then press the inventory hotkey again to hide the inventory panel'
Which functions, although I have to try several times to get it to work and always thought that just pressing one hotkey to auto walk would be better.
So, thanks
Edit: Then again maybe I should have downloaded the mod first... It's a major conflict with some of the other mods that I use since so many class files are used in this mod to make it work, I can't give up all those other mods that it would conflict with. But thanks anyway for trying.
Am I correct that this mod (which I'd really love to use at times) won't work with a minecraft.jar file that has had the MCPatcher used on it? I use a 64x texture pack so I must use the XAU's patcher but as soon as I add in this mods minecraft.class it goes black screen.
Aaaah, finally we can start in that desert biome when we spawn into a new world and find that the desert biome that we spawned into is huge and full of cactus and not a tree in sight.
I was just mulling this over in my brain while I watched my screen for 30 minutes and collected my arrows from my mob spawner trap. Maybe it's possible, maybe not, I'll leave that up to the modders to decide.
This would be for Beta 1.02 (the latest one as of this posts date).
Idea/Request:
Have a special recipe that when created will create a special pressure plate.
When this pressure plate is hooked up via redstone wire to a mob spawner, it will act as if the player is standing at the same location as the pressure plate.
This would eliminate the player having to stand near to his mob spawner traps to get the mob spawners to stay active and instead could simply return to his collection point and pick up the goodies.
The reaon that I suggest a pressure plate is simply so that the player can go throw a block of one kind or another onto the pressure plate thus keeping it activated and the mob spawner active while the player goes off and does more productive, interesting or fun things rather than standing around to keep the mob spawners activated.
I do of course realize that perhaps just altering the spawners themselves so that they remain active all the time instead of an on/off system might be easier to do perhaps, but it would be nice to have that on/off switch so that we don't open up a dungeon somewhere and find a bazillion skeletons inside of it.

Okay, here's a suggestion. Since you're basically giving those sapplings away, how about making a leaf mob drop ocassionally from the leaves that are dropped to keep the miner on his toes.
Maybe make the probability rather high so that it doesn't happen on every tree, but often enough that it keeps us on our toes looking out for those leafy green monsters that you get to drop from the broken leaves.

Great idea, worked like a charm.

It's a .class file, you simply insert it into the minecraft.jar file, you don't need to open a .class file.
