posted a message on "Tutorials for PC, But Can be Done on Xbox" Thread
Nearly all pc tutorials work on the xbox, 'except' those that use the glowstone diodes, and even those can be worked around with minor twitching. The only ones I've found that will generally fail are 'elevator related'. Obviously the pc version for the tutorials should be very close to the xbox version, ie sand duplication on pc vs 3+ is way different then it is on the xbox current, but worked the same when the pc was at or near the xbox version.

I'm not entirely sure mods are even feasible right now on the Xbox, not so much because the hardware can't handle it, but more so because mods and mindcraft on pc is written in java, where as 4j studios had to port it and convert it to c++ on the xbox.

In order for this to happen 4j studios would need to take given mod(s) source code and convert it to C++, given whatever API they have developed. Many of those mod use forge and that too would need to be converted.

Now I'm no modder but each release that occurs mods, including the forge needs to undergo a bunch of changes to conform to the new API, that being said and that 4j studios still has what 6 major releases to catch up to the PC, I kinda doubt that they are looking at handling mods yet.

Personally I'd be happy with a cheap 5$ pack of new blocks, marble, dirt that don't change to grass, stuff like that. But I'd much rather have the upcoming versions with upside down stairs and slabs different colors of planks, of course texture packs would be nice.

Anyhow point is if your looking to pay for new dlc, I think a block pack would be more the way to shoot for, but that's just my thoughts.

As for which mod(s) i'd prefer to see on the xbox, defiantly number 1 is too many items, and number 2 is either buildcraft or redpower.

Can you direct me where to report issues with this build? It seems as the filler is broken in quite a few areas. I can't get it to fill at all, and when clearing it won't touch any 'grass blocks', though it will clear normal dirt blocks. Neither of these cause a crash so should probably be classed as minor.

I used the architct to create a template using 4 stairs, 1 space away from each other in a row. I then made a template (it would not for some reason let me 'name' the template. Once the template was created i used a builder and put the template in it, it successfully marked out the area that it should build in, for reasources i gave it seeds hoping that maybe it would plant them where the stairs were in the template, however this caused the game to crash. I can provide the crash report if needed.

Really hope this helps, if this is the wrong place to post this please direct me where to post issuses with the build and i'll do my best to test the mod and provide any issues i find, assuming of course the authors want said reports.

As always thanks for any help.

posted a message on Any suggestions?
Can someone suggest a mod similar to buildcraft that might be updated and being developed still? I was looking at redpower but it also hasn't been updated in quite awhile.

I'm mainly looking into something that can let me harvest areas i designated, with pipeing that can transport items, sort items and place them into chests.

    Thanks in advance.

what they gotta look into is all the lagginess when a full server gets going.. i have really good internet connection but the game always laggs when i play with friends in a RPG world :/ or whenever i join a random RPG server...

Keep in mind that the xbox verison is still a 'beta' version when compaired to the PC version and will only get better, I believe in version 1.2.1 the map format changed and BW got better also 1.3.1 BW, and CPU got considerable improved on the PC i expect these to carry over to the xbox as well once it catches up.

4J Please reply to this message.

First and formost great work on the patch, although I too am experiencing changes in biomes on my old pre 1.8.2 world, I realize that things must change from time to time for progress to be made.

The only annoying feature that i'm currently experiencing is unable to place continues blocks by holding down the trigger anymore, i must 'move' for it to work, however this is minor.

What i'am after however is a suggestion for future release to make everyones minecraft experience much more enjoyable. I'm sure you guys are familar with the PC version of minecraft, and as the xbox is starting to catch up, more and more and more blocks will be added making our hotbar management a nightmare!

What i'm suggestion is a way to save our current hotbar to say 1 of 5 slots, and easlly be able to recall that hotbar loadout at the click of a button (or two). Thus without having to cycle through menus of items looking for things over and over again, I could find it once, save my layout and recall it at any given time, I could easly pullup redstone layouts, stone building layouts, wood layouts ect.

It would also be very nice if we could stop it from raining or snowing, and change the day/night/dawn/dusk settings, obviously in creative mode only. But i'll leave that upto you. For those pc users, yeah 'too many items' comes to mind. :)

    Thanks for listening 4J

posted a message on Pistons in general
Hi guys, hope i'm posting this in the right place. Primarly I play on the xbox 360, but also own the PC version. My favorite thing to do within minecraft is tinkering with redstone to see what I can come up with. However I just can't seem to get the timing set for pistons correctly.

I'm curious as to if there are 'additional rules' to the ticks redstone works by when multiple users are playing together. I can get things to work well when by myself, but the minute other players join it all goes south. Its like timings just don't work right or there are an additional set of rules that the game works by when in multiplayer.

I'm very curious as to if this problem applied to pc users as well? Its such a shame that such a strong asset to the game is almost unsable with these pistons when we require timng to be perfect.

Has it gotten better since earlier versions? Thanks for any and all input you can give me.
