So you all would rather see minecraft on pe/win10 and consoles go without any texture packs, skin packs, world downloads, ect, cause as it stands right now we don't have a real good selection, and FYI, all these have been being sold on console version since its initial launch, however we don't have a great selection.

Who on earth said you would need to pay for each new feature, no one, all this does is allow content creators for texture packs, worlds, skins and mash up packs to put together some of their work, and sell it to those on pe/win 10, and maybe make a few bucks, where otherwise the market is controlled only by professional developers.
One way or another someone is going to create said content, be it someone at for example 4J studios, or a community member here whom specializes in creating say texture packs. This gives said member a chance to release his work and make a few bucks, whats the big deal. Oh....I get it cause it should be "FREE", well, sadly that's not how things always work in the real world, especially when it comes to consoles and other smart devices. If Microsoft was to attempt to assert monetary gain over the java version for whatever aspect then you'd have my full support, but once again we are not even talking about the java version here.

Wow, the shear amount ignorance and stupidity here is almost overwhelming. This has NOTHING to do with MODS, nor the java version that many here are crying about. It has to do with worlds, texture packs, skin packs, and mashup packs ( which are a combination of the first 3 ). It also will only effect the windows 10 edition and windows PE, and HOPEFULLY one day console version.
I for one am pro for this to the extreme. Why, try playing on console, we have almost no good options for texture packs. They won't even make higher res texture packs for the next gen because it won't work on older consoles. I for one would gladly pay a few bucks for a good doku, or real life texture pack.
Many of you are only thinking of yourselves, and putting down something that could be good to those platforms, when it doesn't even effect you at all. Truth is Microsoft really don't care much about the Java version as it makes up only a small portion of the market, but is undoubtedly the prototype from which all other platforms are derived from.
Your worried about what 'might be', and in today's world there are many 'might be's out there. No one knows how this will or will not pan out. We all know that if its too expensive, and or improperly handled it will end in flames anyhow, but it could be a very good thing to pe/win 10 and or perhaps consoles in the future.

Command blocks are NOT in console version. They were promised ALONG time back by 4J and have yet to be implemented, only the filler block and texture exists.
4J can't even be bothered to fix some technical bugs that are over a year old that effect our ability to created stacked iron farms, and to even construct a squid farm because squid are not allowed to spawn in any man made water sources, all because 4J feels we shouldn't be allowed to farm such resources.
I strongly recommend to anyone whom is thinking of making a jump to console version to avoid it. New generation ie, ps4, xbox one, have the exact same mob and entity limits that the older versions have in place, which is almost a joke. We get 2 updates a year to the game, one of which you can hardly call an update, the other which arrives near Christmas time will break the game and make it unplayable for at least a month till 4J return to work and fix the issues, which more often then not ruins many peoples worlds. Many of these world breaking bugs would never have made it to production if they had just play tested their game. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Its funny that you say that, as we were forced over to bedrock when they decided not to continue supporting 4J's version which in a lot of ways was vastly superior to bedrock crap. Mark my words bedrock version is killing Minecraft on console, and pc. The only thing it has going for it is that it works on mobile devices and supports servers. In every other aspect, it pales in comparison. I do play the java version, but it's so much more convenient to play on console. I've played with alot of people on console, and almost no one is playing it anymore because they don't like the changes that were made to the game. They made lots of promises to get us playing it and then broke most of them. The FAQ clearly stated that it would be a direct port with exception to redstone mechanics which would run the way the devs meant it to run. Since then they have altered mob spawning/despawning, wither behaivor, altered village mechanics, and I could go on and on and on about the bugs they keep ignoring, but they sure can push and fix mechanics that lead to making the market place work.

Truth is the spawn, despawn system in bedrock is total and utter garbage. The whole system really needs an overhaul and should return back to its roots in java. Its tried and tested, it not only works it works well.
We don't need surface and cave spawns, this is only put in place, because they knew that with this system mobs would get stuck in areas and never despawn, and because of that they wanted some mobs to be able to spawn at night, as a result, they split mobs into two different categories, surface and cave, this does nothing but complicate something that should be simple.
Mobs should despawn unless they are tagged, or picked up some equipment or items. The further away a mob is the more likely it should despawn. However the devs will never return to this system because it has one fatal flaw, and that is it would allow the construction of mob farms that actually work like most java mob farms once again, and they don't want us farming mobs in this respect.
Minecraft has thrived and grew on console, and bedrock in 2 years pretty much managed to kill off a large portion of its player base. What remains are young kids and the die-hard ones which will not let go. It's sad really, the game just kept growing and growing, until we got this bedrock crap which caters to too many platforms.

Actually, in a recent Minecraft stream with Helen, I asked her about bumping up the mob density and overall count, to which she stated that too many people are complaining about there being too many mobs in the game. Would really like to know where they are getting their feedback from, as I've seen this type of post countless times here, and the bug tracker is also chock-full of lack of mobs.

Yeah, I saw these a while back, but they still are not stacked iron golem farms in respects some something like the titan or trench in that they use the same villagers, and same space, more or less making villages use the same area.
In fact, I took it a step further and did manage to stack 8 villages all on top of each other. The most difficult part was that each time a new village was created I had to use 2 new detector villagers. However, that's as far as I took it. 8 villages, with 2 doors, and 2 villagers....it took a very long time to get that far.
It can be done, but it's not worth the time and effort.

4J's version was MUCH closer to java then bedrock ever was. When bedrock was just getting started they stated that they planed to be as close to java version as possible with the exception of redstone, but here we are, with more and more and more garbage they put into bedrock, all supposidly because 'we' asked for it to be this way.
I dunno who the hell they are asking, but they better start looking elsewhere for advice. Your right I'm upset that they no longer support a version that at least worked the way I wanted it to, that resembled minecraft the way it is, not this utter garbage we have right now called bedrock.
This isn't change, not when most of the community as a whole come here time and time and time again looking for why something is not working, only to figure out its because bedrock made such changes just to deter certain playstyles.

Really you are going to go there? You don't like being called a fanboy, but yet you choose to defend bedrock at every chance, I don't get it. We hardly have any decent options on console, 4J's version is no longer supported and updated.

Pretty much impossible due to the fact that villagers are not shared between villages like in java version.

I would try copying your world to creative first and then destroying the breeder, to see if that makes the farm work. If yes then you know the problem, and if no then its something else.

If I had to guess, then I would say its most likely because you built the food farm too close to the breeder. The breeder works based on a village, with a set number of doors. There is a villager which detects the doors, but the breeders and villagers that the breeders are creating he can't detect, as a result the system allows breeding to constantly take place, which i'm sure you are aware of. Anyhow harvesters which gather food, will only do it in a certain range of a village. This is why the food farm should be quite a distance from any villages
P.S. If the harvester detects no nearby villages, then he will havest all around him upto 16 blocks I believe, based on his current location.

This is actually a serious bug and should have been patched with the very next version, but as normal the bedrock devs prioritize other things over world breaking bugs.
How is this bug is actually game breaking? If one remembers that overtime we explore and light up most of our caves, and we take into consideration that passive mobs do NOT despawn, and will overtime keep spawning more and more mobs, then it stands to reason that in time, caves will become cluttered with tons of passive mobs. I've already experienced finding a cave with more than 20 of the buggers cluttered together. I'm also sure that most of us don't 'revisit' all the caves we've already explored on a regular basis. So unless this bug is fixed fairly soon, expect your worlds to start to lag, slightly at first, but ever so increasing.

I'm unsure if you're referring to java or bedrock version. If bedrock, then there is a bug that was introduced 2 or 3 versions ago which made it so that passive mobs can spawn on most solid blocks, rather then just grass blocks. https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-39727 is the bug report, it's been confirmed but has no fix yet.
Passive mobs, for the most part, should require grass blocks to spawn on and only if the light level is greater then 7.

Every time I try and access my private messages I get a message saying curse timed out. This has been ongoing now for about week. It shows that I have a new message in the notification area yet I can't access it. Any clues?
