simple. behind your router you get a different ip address (like a LAN) than the outside. so if you went to ipchicken, both computer would have the same ip, but ipconfig you would get a different one. to enter your own server just find the LAN ip for your server box, and type "http://minecraft.net/play.jsp?ip=xxxxx&port=ppppp"
where xxxxx is the ip, and ppp is your port number.
It'd be so much easier If it was all in one big .7z / .zip / .rar .............. Added bonus: I don't think there's a Mac port of 7zip
So, windows and linux users: ENJOY YOUR INSTANT NO EFFORT IN DOWNLOADING MAPS
Mac users: Unlucky. Get a better computer or turn it into a hackintosh.
if a ****ing server is advertised on the ****ing FORUMS! and then i get kicked because there is a ****ing PASSWORD asked for by some random "mocheeze", and i dont know it, what the HELL!!!!!!!!! i got kicked by mocheeze before i could say anything other than help im stuck.... DONT ADVERTISE OUR SERVER IF YOU ARE GOING TO ASK FOR A PASSWORD< AND THEN KICK PLAYERS WHO DONT KNOW IT!!!!
