Now we just need sharks for the ocean biome.

And an achievement for punching said sharks to death.

    Try the seed "Gravelpit".

Tell me that's not deep, wide, vast ocean.

In creative I estimate the average depth to be about 15 blocks from the surface; the deepest I explored was 20 blocks deep of water, based on a Y:63 sea level.

if it's the hulkshare site, the download link is a big, black and green rectangle on the right. if it's the filecopter site, wait 10 seconds, and the download link will appear in between two larger ads

Ah, ok, I got it on the hulkshare. Before I couldn't tell if any was the one to click, since there were about 4 or 5 big "Download Now!" buttons flashing.

I think the filecopter site has issues still, however. Between the two ads, it just says ->> Download without it being clickable. No auto-DL starts, either.

Regardless, thanks for pointing it out.

You have to wait 5 Seconds, than in the right corner a yellow button should appear, which is saying click to skip ads. click on this and you will get to the actual Download site.

that's the one I'm talking about.

The acutal "download site" doesn't look to have the link for what is actually hosted there; just a bunch of other ads!

    Derp

You need to fix the download links.

As far as I can tell, neither has an actual clickable link that starts the download - it's just a bunch of crap advertising. Either that or you're forcing me to use a site that requires me to pay to download it; I can't tell.

(I'm trying to download the multi-thread version, btw.)

    Quote from codewarrior

Is this the only version of MCEdit you've used? Did you have the same problem with any earlier versions? Does the latest testing build work for you?

I remember using earlier versions of MCEdit that did just fine; the testing build fixed it for me. I didn't see that link myself.

I think either there had to have been something about not being able to change the options on the bottom of the screen; I tried to use the nudge block to move the spawn point, so that was why it probably didn't work.

Thanks for the heads-up and getting my save back! (Back to my sweet, pre-bedrock save!)

Hey, I'm having trouble using MCEdit - the latest version, which would be 21 I think it is. (Same for Minecraft - 1.7.3 I believe it is.)

I used it once to try and fix a crashed level so it would load in Minecraft (I kept the Minecraft itself closed), and it *kind of* worked...

I thought it saved, but the spawn is still in the middle of rock, and now I can't seem to get MCEdit to respond. I tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but I can't get anything to load from the main menu of your program.

    Am I doing something wrong...?

    You are a fool!

You MUST have staircase to roof be lightstone, which requires even more lightstone to replace it if you should ever choose to access the basement!

Or some otherwise equally ludicrous implementation of lightstone requiring the blocks to be destroyed.

BECAUSE LIGHTSTONE IS MORE INEFFICIENT THAN JACK-O-LANTERNS. :iapprove:

posted a message on No-TNT Lava Trap help?
I'm not sure what specifically would cause your change in method to break your redstone circuit, but your solution sounds simple enough.

Current on redstone wires can travel up to 15 blocks only. Any further than that, and the charge is lost.

This can be worked around by using a repeater - a set of two redstone torches that gives a new charge to the wire, without changing the on/off status.

It looks something like this, in side view:
    [] :--+: :RedShroom: [] []
    :RedShroom: :soil: :soil: :|: :RedShroom:

Where the torch and the stick are restone torches, and the mushrooms are redstone.

Just keep in mind that you need to have the wire going directly into the first torch (the one on top of the block) has to be straight into the block - it won't work if it's curving, for whatever reason.

posted a message on Outdoor Light Features on Ground
Lightstone fixtures seem to have a wide range of size, just like ore vein size.

I've come across several easily-harvestable fixtures close to the ground via caves; these gave me between 20-30 lightdust. In the building of my highway across an open pit I came close enough that I harvested two high-hanging lightstone fixtures; both of these yielded almost a full stack each! :ohmy.gif:

One of my lighting goals is to fill several large chests full of torches. When lanterns ARE implemented, all in-game torches will be converted. Chests full of torches become chests full of lanterns, and there's no need to bust an arm getting lightdust in the nether for new lanterns. :biggrin.gif:

    Know what would be awesome?

    Make a literal load-bearing boss.

Rig up some redstone to all that TNT in such a fashion that it would turn on and ignite the TNT if the path was interrupted. Then, run that redstone around a room containing a Creeper.

Simply hug the creeper to trigger the self-destruct. :biggrin.gif:
