    if you put enough time upgrades do the golems from the animation focus live infinitely? I got some golems and put some protect cores on them and they still haven't disappeared so am I getting essentially cheaper but not autocraftable golems?

    Research spoilers ahoy

    I got so caught up in the excitement about the reincarnation system to realise that from what I understand it is an overglorified giant one use bed and prompty got confused of why you would even get it (aside from being able to get your grabby hands at those mirror amulets oh boy those have literally saved my bacon multiple times), so Ye, what's the use of the soul beacon/reincarnation system?

    hhhhholy **** I haven't seen a thaumcraft addon with this many awesome and from what limited knowledge I know of what has been done before: unique ideas (plus the models from what I can see have been really well done A+)

    As for the mod itself, I think it's great. It's different from what I'm used to, but in a good way. The modular customization and the fact you can disassemble just about everything back to its core parts and start over again makes it fun to experiment repeatedly with different builds, and it's not very cheap or game breaking, since early game you could easily run out of tension in the middle of a fight (I've been carrying a winding box and throwing it down like a shield occasionally while I rewind).

    one good idea is to simply test in creative mode before trying it in your survival, it only takes a few seconds and can lead to you discovering that one wrench makes you unable to get all your tools back :P

    also one thing to note if you were worried about it like I was considering all the states it can be in: thaumcraft wands are fine, you can even leave a cap on it with no worry

    this seems very interesting... I wonder what happens if you put a pocket watch in a temporal multitool, after all they both use the same button to activate, would the pocket watch take over and make the multitool useless or would the multitool take over and make you unable to configure your pocket watch? questions questions...

    of which I have the answer! bug report, putting a pocket watch in a temporal multitool makes you unable to switch again because the pocketwatches menu pops up instead of the multitool

    you can also put mushroom stew in the multitool and when consumed it removes the multitool data

    also surprisingly the wands from thaumcraft work perfectly fine, even being stores with foci on although I didn't actually test if the foci would work (I only tested with iron capped wooden wands but I doubt it would work differently in the case of every other wand type except for the sceptres which may prove trouble and I shall test later)

    is it possible to get my current yaw and pitch? I wish to make something that autouses an ability i have but when pointing at another player it gives the effects to the player instead and that isn't too fun when pvping so I wanna make myself look directly down while using it then click right back to my previous direction and can continue playing

    hey I've been trying for a bit to create a loop, what I may try to be doing may seem a bit silly if I actually show what I'm doing so I'll just do a show of all the parts that could actually effect it
    WHILE(@thing,TRUE);
    DO;
    IF(@otherthing,TRUE);
    log(I have done this more than once);
    ELSE;
    log(I have done this once so far);
    SET(@otherthing)
    ENDIF;
    LOOP;

    the @thing is turned on just before its text file is called by another macro and then turned off by a second macro that also sets @otherthing off, basically being my reset but when I try it the while loop never runs more than once

    but this thread basically is the documentation, someone asks every now and again, i'm usually too lazy to find a previous post though so i just write a new explanation and there's probably 10 versions now xD

    actually I went through the readme multiple times, the only mention of variables was in the middle of command flow and didn't mention anything about strings and neither was it mentioned at any point in my many google searches, which prompted me to actually bother someone about it :P

    For this reason the client (your game) can't tell the difference between chat, plugin messages, deaths, etc., nor can it pick out a name from a chat message automatically. It should work equally for any message that comes from the server

    What is the script you tried and what did you bind it to? - Perhaps the server you're on is one of those that puts an §r or §r§f at the end of everything?

    One thing you can try to find out might be to $${Set(&chat,%CHAT%);Replace(&chat,"§","¤");Log(%&chat%)}$$

    You can also $${IFMATCHES(%CHAT%,"pong");Log("&aConnection good");ENDIF}$$, but keep in mind this triggers for every message with pong in it, including words like "sponge" that appear in the chat

    thanks, your test did indeed show to my annoyance that it hit &r's although sadly I have found out that for some reason I cannot use ping and the server owner does not know the permission node to give me ping

    although may I request another thing? is it possible to store full words in a variable or just plain works a label/text box that I can collect back from the text box later? I wanna have multiple "presets" but also have something that can quickly switch the item in my hotbar, use it and then switch back to the currently set preset

    hey is there any way to simply get what was put on the screen? not like chat or whatever but literally just the text on the screen like if I type /ping I want to test if I get pong back but I don't know how to do that as the CHAT variable doesn't seem to detect non player text from what I can see
