The melon/pumpkin farm should be compressed into one area (On the topmost part, where the mine is if possible). Just scatter a few seeds around (Or, if you want, put some actual pumpkin/melons and make people decide themselves).
Also, Since pumpkins are basically useless in this (The negation of endermen is not worth it and there is a slim chance you would possibly obtain the iron required for a golem), I would suggest focusing on wheat more than pumpkins.
Also, to add more of an exploration image, perhaps you could add some sort of castle? (Or at least some places along the walls to walk.). I know this would take quite a long time but trust me, it would be most worth it.
(Also, can you replace doors if zombies bust them down? Just wondering.)
Finished the map (Well, died, I guess that is the only end.)
I was actually doing perfect: I had all my items in one house, I had all (I think? Healing potion, Fire resistance, strength, swiftness) the potions, most (Or all) of the doors. I must say the 'find redstone to get to new places' thing is innovative, cool, and most of all, FUN! It made it more challenging to go to as many chests as possible and try to get everywhere.
Oh, and if you are wondering, I died in the mine. A bunch of zombies came out from behind the wall and ate me (D:)
I uninstalled it (Minecraft was way too easy with it anyways) and tried again. Let me tell you, the first part is just plain brutal.
When I first started, there were about fifteen zombies coming out and I was all like "HOLY CRAP OH DEAR GOD!" and running and stabbing and taking damage and catching thigns on fire and *Pant Pant* Trying not to die. Even with the iron armor it was hard a NETHER.
I finally made it (With zombies still coming!) and opened the door, covering my tracks with fire. The sun had come up, so it became a lot easier. So far I haven't done much, but I have very high hopes now. Great job.
I went undergroundand discovered the problem. It isn't peaceful, its that when a dispenser shoots an egg, it shoots the EGG ITSELF, not the monster. Perhaps it is because I have balkon's weapon mod installed...
Thats why nothing was happening, I was just doing a parkour map on Peaceful. Like I said, make it not "HOLY CATS YOU JUST SPAWNED AND A WHOLE LOT OF ZOMBIES ARE GOING TO KILL YOU!" difficult, but, "You are running out of supplies and the only supplies are over here where a bunch of zombies are" difficult.
Anyways, I cheated into the city. Turns out the game becomes very enjoyable after that. I would like it a bit more if there were less beds (Or no beds, except for mayby one place that is difficult to get to) and 'black out' areas. To make these, simply put bedrock (Or whatever you want, besides transparent things.) and cut off sunlight. Put important items in these places and watch as people squirm and cry as they put the risk of death against the need for food.
Also, just make the whole thing more difficult overall: Take all the melons and pumpkins out of the two farmlands, make only one, and put some seeds for random things in different places. I love the way you use redstone as 'keys' to open secret doors and get items: Just make the map a bit more difficult. I could even do a Lets Play for you.
Just tried it... I am a bit... Confused on what to do here. I am just sitting in an empty room with a few dispensers. Nothing has happened for two minutes.
Quick question: Do you suggest me using balkon's if I follow those rules we made up a while ago? If you don't want me to use it I will most certianly not.
Tried version 1.1 a few hours ago. I have to say I love this. I found a pretty major flaw halfawy through: You have Sticks, but no crafting table, or wood to make one. I think I would like it more if you just gave us 20 wooden planks to use however we want. Probably going to start over now and dowload 1.1
Ok, Starting again today. Last time I accidently pushed 'E' instead of 'Escape' and drowned because I was creating a bridge. Since I didn't have a bed and I decided to go a long way away from my stupid rain-forest spawn point...
Ok, I just started Pigget Panic since the other ones are getting a bit too redundant to me. It seems fun so far, Im at the Forest and doing fine. I am currently playing with Balkon's weapon mod, So to balance it I am never going off Hard and Ive only used 1 of the starter chests (To get melons so I could see how they grow and sugar cane for paper for gun ammo)
I sort of think this will be bad, because if its only like a 5 minute playthrough hes just going to punch some trees and mayby build a small house. That would make minecraft look boring as hell.
