What can you bring to the server: Enforce server rules and hand out punishments/warnings where needed & help out other players/guide new players.
Why do you deserve staff: I've been playing on this server for a while, but I feel sometimes that I could do better and be more helpful than just walking around various blocks and guarding. Keeping players in line is somewhat of what I've done as I guard. I've acted as one without the "powers" that come with it. I see rulebreakers and people with no clue what to do on the servers, and I try to help them as best I can, but for some of them, I need commands to deal with.
Another thing I just want to bring up is people being biased against other players. For whatever reason they will hold a grudge against a person, and then hand out punishments to them for something that a regular player would not get punished for. I would be completely unbiased, as I have no beef with any people on the server, and if I did, I would keep it to myself and not punish them for it.

Huge vouch for this server. Everyone is nice on this server. Great community, great staff & guards, great gameplay. Definitely recommend this to people who are looking for prison servers.

Why should you be unbanned? I really love the server. I have tried many servers before this, none of them appealed to me. This server seems a keeper though. Nice community, nice staff, good plugins. Things that other server don't have. I had never used x-ray in the past before today. I got really mad because I got a full inventory full of gold and diamonds, I was planning to sell it, but someone in full diamond armour killed me and refused to give my stuff back. I then went to download x-ray. I now regret that.

The Owners of the server are not "Selfish bastards," to use your word. Appeals that are not accepted are usually for something very bad, such as attemped-hacking, x-raying, exploiting, and other forms of cheating. The owners give the option to purchase an account unlock for half a price of what it would be to buy a new account. Account unlocks are $15 and New Accounts are $30.
When an appeal is denied, most get the option to buy an account unlock, if they are truly dedicated to this server, they will buy it.
If the banned person was unrightfully banned, he or she is usually pardoned. However, bans for cheating and xraying are mostly denied if there is no proof.
I quote Markillion for the 500th time: "We do not tolerate cheaters."
My tip to you is to record EVERYTHING you do on the server, and if something goes wrong and you get banned, you have proof that you didn't. (or did if you're that guy)
