I'm a bit worried about a random fire starting somewhere in a loaded chuck and going out of control before it's noticed.
I've seen natural fires during the day when it's not raining, such as a lava pool on the surface which happened to spawn near a tree which in turn caught on fire. If something like that happened near a newly generated jungle.....
Only recently, despite playing for so long, I made my first diamond sword. I decided to enchant her with a level 50 enchant and got:
Sharpness IV
Looting III
Fire Aspect II
Knockback II
I'm a bit confused still so bare with me. When people say that the newest version will break their game what exactly do they mean?
Also I can understand there being an issue if say for example I wasn't able to get new features on my old, current maps. Minecraft is different for everyone, for me it's about building a world, an empire. As such I'd hate to have to start anew every time something new is added as I'd never be able to enjoy that new feature. True I'm not force to update but in a sense you are. Can you imagine if an update for a console RPG came out and it required a new game file to enjoy? That could be tens if not hundreds of hours down the drain.
My understanding though is the new update will fix this and make it easier to add new content in the future without requiring a new world. Also if I understand correctly you always have the option of cutting and pasting your world into another with MCEdit (once it works with the new version).

Not bad for my first diamond sword.
