Wow, kids these days really only focus on stupid games like MW3, BF3, Skyrim. Even though they dont know their gaming fathers. Its sad.
Don't compare skyrim to MW3 or Battlefield. Bethesda been making elder scroll games since early 90s. When you kiddies were playing mario and sonic on your NES and Genesis, I was killing monsters in DOOM, destroying Nazis in Wolf 3D, and shooting fireballs in Arena and Daggerfall on my trusty ol' MS-DOS PC.
The normal solutions that we used to fix the lag problem are not working now. So my best guess would be to wait for the final release of 1.8 and pray that Notch and Jeb will fix it by then.

I failed my college semester. Studying Nursing. Yeah i studied but I never managed to pass the tests. My final grade was a 73.52. You need a 77% to pass. Go figure.
To top that, I called my girlfriend after my final exam. I wanted to go get some drinks and have a lite breakfast. She agreed and we went to an Ihops, where she informed me that she wanted to break up. Her Reason was that there was a lot of stuff going on and she needed to be alone so she can handle it. (If you are a youngster, that means she found someone else and is leaving me for him.)So shes gone now, and we dated for 6 months, but I guess that didn't really matter much to her.
I come home, ready to dive into a video game drunken stupor, to forget my woes, when my Employer calls me up and says that I am being let-go. I work as a tech at the local hospital nearby. The hospital is cutting back on spending and there way of doing that is removing most of the techs from the PCU and Med-surg floors. Great.
So there you go, I put the highlights of my day so far, there are some other minor things but nothing notable.
A thread about old retro games you played but can't remember the name.
There was one game for the MS-DOS system that involved some sort of castle/tower and a wizard you would control. It was a top-down diablo style game, where you would navigate through rooms of the castle/tower, and each room had puzzles, doors, or monsters. I played it twice at a friends house, and I remember I had a lot of fun with it.
What kind of games do you remember playing a long time ago?
Anyways, searching for that pic brought up massive amounts of G3 and earlier Pinkie Pie pictures. Anybody willing to lend some eye bleach to a brony in need? x.x
What is worst about that, is people who confuse MLP:FiM with the older G3 version.
Its a bit annoying that some people are quick to judge a cartoon just because it had mediocre previous installments.

On Ponygoons, some of the members have a mini-signature snip that says "I survived Newborn Cuties". I guess that's what they're about.

K, I disabled my firewall, and plugged my PC directly into the cable mode. Didnt change anything.
Ugh, this is INFURIATING.
I did notice though, after logging into the server, It stays stuck on "downloading terrain" for a short while, around 40-50 seconds, and then loads up the game with no blocks.
edit: I have upgraded to 1.6.6 already, didnt fix the problem.
I been searching for a solution to this all day and haven't found a thing so far.
Basically the problem is whenever I connect to any server, Nothing loads up except the sky and my character. So no blocks whatsoever, just the sky with the sun/moon in it.
To top it off, I cannot chat either. Whatever I type into chat does not appear in the chatbox. But I can see other players chat perfectly fine.
I'm not too sure why this is happening, my router has minecraft port forwarded, and my firewall has given the game full access to the internet.
The problem happened immediately after I updated to 1.6.5, and has been persistent since. I'm not sure what to do, any advice is welcome.

Well, they did mess up the UI for PC. Other than that, excellent game.

edit: Singleplayer has no issues.
