posted a message on Good laptop?
I'm going into the later years of schooling next year and I'll probably need a personal laptop for work as well as games. I'm looking for a laptop that can run most of today's games for a budget of preferably under $1000 AU.

Thanks. There is a very minor thing that I would like you to add. Could you add some more detail to the chest?

posted a message on Visual representation of guilt?
    Quote from Beechlgz

Maybe something that's carried around, something heavy or that smells bad and would wear down the guilty person over time. Something they would attempt to hide from people and keep close to their chest at the expense of their own happiness or freedom, something that can be hidden but not very easily. Like a radioactive substance maybe, that even has the similarity to guilt in that it can gradually make you sick over time.

... It's not very specific I know but maybe you can come up with something better based on that.

I also realized that visualization only really applies to concealed guilt. I don't think it works for guilt that has been admitted to or where the guilty party is trying to atone.

Maybe a picture of Macbeth carrying a heavy object on his shoulders (which represents his guilt) that is weighing him down (this would represent him slipping into paranoia and insanity as a result of his guilt).

    Quote from Epione

If I'd associate guilt with imagery, it would be a spiraling mess of puce and dull green tendrils with a maw that is the blackest of black. Almost violently so.
The green tendrils represent an envy of a time prior to the guilty event, the puce is of squeamishness and both throb and spiral with the singular purpose of catching and submitting all calm feeling to the blackness at its core.
    Quote from Riggzon

I would have a swirling mass of red and green colours, the red being anger at yourself for what you've done, and the green being the envy that Epione describes.

Well I wasn't expecting something that complex Epione. Thanks for the ideas both of you. Maybe I shoud've mentioned to think like a 16 year old who isn't the best at English :P

posted a message on Visual representation of guilt?
I have this English assignment where I have to create a visual representation poster (using Word or PowerPoint) of one theme in Macbeth. I have chosen guilt but I can't think of how to visually represent it. If you guys could give me some ideas that would be great.

Just so you know, this isn't the entire assignment. I also have to write 500 words about the theme of guilt in Macbeth and the visual part which I can do myself.

posted a message on Need a decent laptop
Yes I'm aware I've made another topic similar to this.

I'm entering the later years of my schooling (and my b day is soon) and my dad asked me to give him some specs for a laptop. Of course, I'm going to want to be able to play games on it as well but it doesn't need to be top of the line just good enough to play most games on high/medium settings and the more graphic demanding games on at least medium. My dad has already suggested the Amd Radeon hd 8760m 2GB ddr3 (exactly what the message said) but I don't know if it's good enough.
    Limit is $1000 AU.

    Thanks.

I like everything about this suggestion... Except the spider. I'm not a fan of spiders (that's the main reason I hate the idea of it) and like what Badprenup said, it would have trouble getting around the forest.

posted a message on Lucid Dreaming Discussion
I've never been able to realise that I'm dreaming (or maybe I have but just can't remember). I've had several dreams where I remember what happened almost exactly for the first few minutes or maybe even hours after waking up (by this I mean waking up at, for example, 11am and still being able to remember the dream at 10pm). Sometimes I can recall what happened in dreams I had weeks or even months ago.
