    ~ Bastion Minecraft ~
The next interpretation of survival minecraft
    IP: play.bastionmc.com

We get it, we really do. You're tired of Minecraft aren't you? The endless server hopping. The pay to win "OP" servers, the endless amount of "networks" being set up by 12 year olds that are too invested in daddy's credit card, Minecraft really just doesn't feel like Minecraft anymore does it?
Whoever you are, wherever you came from. Thank your lucky stars that you've found us because we're also tired of all the garbage, we too, miss the nostalgia of loading up your first singleplayer world back in inf dev, alpha, beta, whichever era you come from.
Again, let me welcome you to Bastion MC where our motto is that we're the "Last Bastion in Gaming" and more specifically in Minecraft. We aim to offer you that old feeling of playing Minecraft in a community where players interact with one another on the basis of trust and friendship. While there is PvP, it's only there to enhance the feeling of survival and vanilla Minecraft. We aren't "insert ridiculous giant server name here" we're simply a small scale Survival Minecraft Server put together by people like you, who just want to play the game the way it was meant to be played.
BastionMC is the final product of my 5 years of playing Minecraft. Everything that I've ever learned, experienced, or felt while playing this game has been poured into this server to give you the best possible playing experience we can create. Along with the help of Cbfstudios, another long time Minecraft player and fan, we've pooled our knowledge together to take all the best aspects of modded Minecraft and put the bits we enjoy, and we think you'll enjoy, into a server based in vanilla Minecraft.
From our keyboards to yours, I present to you, player, Bastion MC.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have a website if you're looking for more information. Website is BastionMC.com

These are some more pictures from around our spawn showcasing its beauty and some more of the interesting areas within!

You can jump off spawn at any point to be delivered to the wild. This is where you'll end up once you make the leap!

posted a message on Minecraft Xbox One Edition!
I think its cool they're doing it but honestly not enough for me. Im content on the 360, and the X1 is underwhelming in my opinion. Minecraft is not enough for me to fork over 500 dollars. Plus, it seems the only real upgrade is bigger world sizes. Not much of a difference.

posted a message on My grip regarding "The End"
I thought the dragon was moderately difficult but it was not really hard no. More importantly however, it was a lot of fun. I think the new attacks and cages really made it more interesting and that's all i care about.

I wish they'd add an End reset so I could fight the dragon again. They should let you hatch the egg in the end to fight a new dragon, which would give you another egg so you could always go back and fight him.

posted a message on Creative Builds are not as Impressive as Survival Builds...Agree?
Kinda depends of the mode. If something was made in Creative then I expect more of it.

Now if you show me two giant castles, that look equal in size and architecture, and one was made in survival and one was made in creative I will hold the survival one in higher regard. Mega builds take 4x the effort when you have to spend hours shearing sheep, destroying a forest and mining the earth and whatever else you have to do to get your required materials.

This is a topic where most people seem to be black or white, if you always play in creative you will be one side, and survival vice versa.

I have no problem w/ creative builds and will still be impressed if they look good but I simply respect survival builds more.

As long as the player had fun doing it, it really doesn't matter.

Do I build big, and keep this as my 'final' seed. Or do I leave MC alone for 6 months, hoping that the terrain gens will finally be finished by then? (With the latter option, I probably wont be on the forums for that time)

I'm going to go ahead and say make it your big world and play. This is a video game and you think it's fun so there's no reason you should have to wait. It does mean you'll need to restart but your old world is always there, you can always go back and making a new world is a fresh experience. ( Especially if it will have the new jungles.)

During the 1.6/1.7 period I spent all my free time in may and then all of my summer break on one world, and as you can imagine it was huge. But when 1.8 came out I just moved on and now I have a new big world. I always like to go visit my 1.7/1.6 world as it's not going anywhere.

    tl;dr
You enjoy the game, no point in restricting yourself. You should keep playing.

    posted a message on Villagers...
I kinda like the way they look. They just look like humble people who are happy to let you stay the night.

Although it's more like, stealing their homes, chopping them down for wood, killing their kin for amusement as they watch helplessly, and of course, stealing from their crops.

Perhaps their arms are folded together, but they're stuck together because a species-wide birth defect. Imagine what they would do if they could use their arms. Steve would certainly never take residence in a village again.

Or I'm just thinking too hard into this.

Who gives a damn about fighting a dragon?

I do, actually. I also like to build in the end after the dragon is gone. It also wouldn't be professional if 4J decided to skip something as large as a new dimension that the pc version has. And if they decided not to add it there would be many people complaining about it as well.

But i'm not trying to force you to like it. think of it this way; Once the end is finished they never have to 'waste time on it' again and they can work on everyones precious jungles. Besides, the wait for tu9 is probably ( just my guess) the middle of march. I think you'll be fine.

You can find them in treasure chests in strongholds or mineshafts, so get adventuring!

Whether or not you'll find seeds is pure luck.

posted a message on What Xbox Content would you like to see?
I think what they'll do eventually is upon world creation , you will be able to pick a world size. Our worlds now will probably be small. The reason why it would be decided upon world creation, is because if maps were increased, what about our current worlds? All borders end in seemingly endless ocean. So you'd have to swim through an ocean each time you want to get to the expanded territory.

Another cool thing they could add is the more pistons mod, which contains more pistons that can push from 2 to 4 block.
Imagine the contraptions you could make.

posted a message on Your Minecraft 1.3 best and worst changes
Best: Exp enhancements, particularly from mining and smelting. Not sure why people don't like it. Experience shouldn't be gained just from killing monsters. It makes sense to get exp from doing several in-game things, such as mining. I think it makes a lot of sense. Other then that, trading, temples, tripwire, bug fixes and pretty much everything else.

Bad: Nothing, really. Maybe lag from the merge but it's a good thing in the long run.

And about going through mobs, thats a good thing. It means that when you go into your sheep pen to feed them wheat they won't push you into a corner and never let you out.
