this mod is wonderful! can you make it placeable on glass though, i got a glass dome type thing, and well, these are useless in there, and if i add non-glass blocks, it ruins the look.
I'm probably not going to change anything in the mod any time soon, sorry.
I think with larger items, making them entities like paintings would be best. I know the Better than Wolves mod gets away with making large items like windmills and water wheels by doing that.
Ya, making them entities would make it possible to do something else that I wanted to do a while back...
Perhaps different types of chandeliers could be added to make the mod better than the chandeliers in the Bees mod. Not just different materials but maybe larger ones like the size of a spider or the size of a ghast? This is what I was hoping chandeliers could be, great for large buildings.
Bukkit mod on link below ..... hope you don't mind the port, although it wasn't me that did it - but it is a welcome addition to the Itemcraft plugins.
Great mod! I have a suggestion, though - shouldn't be too hard to implement, either. Make a hanging chain block - make a longer chain texture and basically duplicate the chandelier block part, without the flames. With this, you can make the chandeliers hang down more if needed, while still blending in - and you can use the chains to hang other things as well like maybe glowstone or something. Also, just a minor "efficiency" type thing - in the source for BlockChandelier in canPlaceBlockAt, there seems to be a lot of repeated code, but it doesn't really affect anything except for some very minor delays I guess.
I do plan on doing that once I finish the next thing I'm doing. Also I'll try to fix the repeated code.
This is an incredibly wonderful mod, but without a configuration file it will make it really hard for me to utilize.
Each chandelier uses a terrain index, and they are in short supply. I'd use the mod in my families mod compilation if I could choose which chandeliers are available to craft. (Was going to do the iron and wood ones).
Would be lovely if a config file were present for future releases.

Well, I'm not sure how to make a Config file, but if you want I can just edit the code for you. Also thanks!
Making the mod for bukkit is too confusing. *Fetal Position. Will ask if the creator of Itemcraft if he can make the chandelier mod into bukkit for us.
I looked at the stuff you need to do, and it doesn't seem to hard (maybe the textures of them will be tricky (if not impossible) but other then that I think I could do it if he doesn't want to.

I want to do that, but don't have the time.
Yes, I'm going to work on it in a few days.
Thanks!

I want too, but I'm not sure how to do that...

Thanks for giving me that, I need to add that to the main post.
I'll try to get that done soon.
I tried it when I was making the different chandeliers, and didn't seem to be/look good.
I think they are 130-140, but I forget. I'll try to do the config file, but I'm not sure how.
Thanks for the compliments! If anyone has suggestions, I will try to add them.

Oh, really? where is this?

Thanks, and I checked at the release, and I found it is the only pure chandelier mod.

Thanks, if you have any suggestions then feel free to ask.

It only takes up one, but I do want to make a type of chandelier that takes up two
Thanks, and I want to make a light bulb type mod, but their are a lot of them, and I don't know how to make it look right.

Thanks, and I'll try once I finish something I'm trying to do.

Have you asked the guy if he will do it yet?

I'm not sure, I will try to get the guy who did the old version of it in multi-player, but if I can't I might give it a try. Also thanks!
