posted a message on yShaders - Shaders for Macs and computers with Intel Graphics! [DISCONTINUED]
Great Mod. With using high i can get 34 fps (Which i don't mind since it is pretty hard on the computer). But when i get near some tall grass or a forest my computer looses 10fps. Is there any ways i can disable the plant waving, it would probably run better without it.

    Thanks

Calm down, 171 hours is only a week. Just play on another server until you are allowed back on the server...

I don't think you're ever going to find a plains biome (The only flat-ish biome) without grass. If you hate punching every single tall grass block, just use a water bucket...

posted a message on I'm no longer satisfied with Minecraft.
It's called being tired of something. I might play minecraft for a few weeks, then get tired of it. Maybe six months later i might get an awesome idea to build something. Which then the cycle repeats itself.

Just try other games until you feel like playing the game again...

posted a message on [Poll] Has anyone not beaten the ender dragon yet?
The enderdragon is really easy to beat, all you need is iron armor, a diamond sword, and an infinity I bow. Use the bow to shoot the dragon from far away, and use your sword when she gets close enough to hit. Don't forget to destroy ALL the endercrystals with your bow or else you might not beable to kill the dragon. She's flys away like a coward all the time, so it's not hard to regain health.

posted a message on helpme please!! (crash in windows 10)
That doesn't look like the official launcher. Try to see if the official launcher that you get on Minecraft.net will work.

Btw it would also help to have the crash report so that people can better understand your problem. You can find it at

    C:\Users\<Your Name Here>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\crash-reports

It might also be the fact that you are using an experimental OS, is there any chance you can go back to windows 8.1 or 7?

Is the no cubes thing only graphically? If it is, then it would be weird to have to jump up invisible cubes all the time, and to see entities halfway in the ground or floating above it.

If it also effects physics, then it could make stuff like climbing up hills harder.

No, there are no hidden cubes, it changes the shape of each block so that you can simply walk up a hill. Though i wish i had a computer that could handle these graphics >.<

Even though quartz is a really hard rock, it is often brittle. It may not scratch a glass plain, but it will break when struck with a hammer.

So this is actually more realistic than you think.

posted a message on Is Minecraft becoming a childrens game? [Please read whole topic for full understanding]
My comments in Bold. The paragraphs i cut out are ones i don't need to comment on ;)

    Quote from OMGItsMrC»
I am a very intelligent twelve year old, who has been playing minecraft since 1.8 beta. I have put countless hours into this gaming learning how to mod, skin, build, craft, mine, fight, and any other part of the game. Ever since some of the newer updates, a bit past the beta phase, I've been noticing a very large change in the minecraft community as a whole. The change would be the vast amount of children that have entered the once unique and fun community. Just a protip: Never call your intelligent, it just makes you look arrogant. Judging by this post, you are a very mature 12yr old, just be careful of what you say.

This is where the community is affected. Children became a major demographic is all minecraft related media. I'll talk about youtubers. A youtuber is a job. Not a hobby, a job. In my opinion, A youtuber is an active content maker that earns revenue through his/her videos. Most gaming youtubers would play minecraft, and would do what it takes to make themselves happy and their audience. Youtubers have to make money to live on, When a massive new demographic comes in, its time for change. Some youtubers, though maybe not all, may have to change how they act to appeal to a larger audience, but may cause original viewers to drift away.

I can definitely see this, kids are going to find the immature, vulgar, loud youtubers funny (Im looking at you Skydoesminecraft). This can explain why the more mature youtubers like the Mindcrack group aren't as popular.
Multiplayer: Kids are immature, that is how they are. Kids are also new human beings, incapable of grasping the size of the world. That also means they don't know how to act. Through personal experience, children can do some very immature things, like griefing, repeatedly cursing, hacker accusation, spamming and many more. It can be a big turn down for the community to join a server to be greeted by a kid with online power. This is one of the biggest parts that affects gameplay and can sometimes be irritating while trying to enjoy yourself.

For some reason most parents are unable to teach their children the way they should act in public. Most of those kids are under 8yrs old, unless they are some sort of social prodigy, they really shouldn't be on the internet. The only way to avoid these kids is to join 13+ servers, though, you can still find teens that still aren't mature enough.

Merchandise: The minecraft store used to be a nice little place where you could buy a hoodie or shirt, now its filled with little action figures and lego sets and others. A small change, but its worth mentioning.

Such is capitalism my friend. When companies see that they can make some money, they will gladly take the opportunity. Honestly, some of the miniature sets are pretty cool.

Generalization: By far the most irritating and frustrating part about this is that minecraft was a cool place when it WAS barely known. But now that everybody knows it, they only have knowledge of it starting from when they learned about it. Because of kids making it known, nearly all minecraft players can be stereotyped as little nerdy hunchbacked kids that have absolutely no social life, and that bothers me.

Don't be bothered by it, these kinds of insults aren't going to affect your life in anyway. Any mature person is not going to use stereotypes as a reference for the quality of a person.

I hope you can see some of the points I'm trying to make. If you disagree with me on anything, please comment below, as I would love a good civil argument.

Minecraft is a sandbox. There is no way for it to be assigned to any age. Sure, lots of kids play the game, but Minecraft can appeal to all ages. It allows you to play the game the way you want to play it.

Why I'm allowed to write this: I grew up in a large, two-story house, my parents are up to date on technology and make good money. I have had a computer since diapers. I could download by age 3 and could get torrents by age 8. I've played thousands of multiplayer games. I know how to act on the internet. The millions of kids I'm talking about don't. And thats why this upsets me. Um...Cool?

    Quote from echonite»

but the icon for the game's launcher is the grass block, so people have to associate it with the game more-so then the icon used after the game is launched, which you don't really interact with.

That was only a side note, it really doesn't matter that the game itself shows a crafting bench. Though, now that i think about it, Mojang is probably trying to switch over to the crafting bench already. Why else would they randomly change the game icon to the crafting bench?

I would probably say that the crafting bench matches Minecraft the most. It is the most essential block in the game since you can't really do anything without crafting. Plus, they are already using it when you start the game.

    Stated my point...Support Minecraft 2 !

Why not? Well...Minecraft 2 would be a completely different game, meaning you would have to buy it again. You already own minecraft so why not just encourage them to keep updating minecraft 1 for free? Why pay money for something that would basically be the same thing, but with a few things added in?

I found a strange glitch with Optifine HD C6 Ultra. No matter what setting i have the leaves on, they will be opaque. The leaves were in-fact transparent before i installed Optifine. Is there any fix for this?
