It looks like they should be ready for a snapshot, right?

Although, it does look like one of those "MOAR ARroWs" mods that are made in ten minutes through MCreator <_<

I was hoping for a snapshot this past wednesday. (much disappoint, wow) I think Mojang is losing sight of what a snapshot is supposed to be, as in, a version for testing, instead of a full update, which is what you'd think they were making with how long it's taking. Oh well. I hope it really is worth the wait.

The absence of snapshots is a sign of them not having anything to send out for us to test. They are probably taking another 3 month break after working so very hard on snapshot 15w14a.

Seriously Mojang! We need more information than "Itz gonna b a combt updte!". How about atleast telling us your ideas on how you're going to change combat! Of course they probably don't have a plan since they told the community to give them ideas on what they should do! (Other than changing the enderdragon)

posted a message on Anybody else hear birds since 1.8.4?

Wow! I thought i was the only one hearing it! The sounds come from a game called "The Outdoors". Every computer should have it, although the game seems to be stuck in hardcore mode :/ the bird mobs are cool i guess.

In all seriousness, is your computer by a window? If so, it was definitely just simply a bird outside the window.

One of them is a minecart rail and the other is redstone

I realized that when i watched the video way back on april first. I am talking about the POTENTIAL of such a block if it exists.

Blue Redstone needs to be added immediately, enough delaying dinnerbone. The 1.9 update should be the "Blue Stone" Update.

    Resource Pack is your friend

I do not think that resource packs will allow you to have two powered lines right next to each other. Just think of how much more compact redstone creations could get without having to worry about redstone connecting together and accidental bud switches!

posted a message on Computer Not Letting Me Download Optifne!!

As I have said I know how to download optifine but my laptop wont let me download the profile. It tells me that I need to choose an app to download it. This thread isn't about how to download the profile but how to get my computer to let me download it.

What options of programs does your computer give you to choose? Is there something similar to Java Platform SE binary?

posted a message on keeping track of your locations, treasures, villages and special places and waypoints

I usually make a nether portal, and take it's coordinates. Then i use a compass to get to my main base in the overworld. Then i build dirt pillars in between the two nether portals in the nether. Eventually i will replace the pillars with a large road system.

As for getting out of caves, i put all of my torches on the left wall of the cave. All i have to do to get out of the cave is to follow the torches on the right.

    Quote from WalkerRiley»

Just throwing it out there, but couldn't someone write some form of algorithm that could search out that particular book data? I mean, we look for stuff manually, but if you want to find data quickly, you write some kinda search program that can zero in on the data you're looking for.

I agree on your PS. If I was that worried about being tracked I'd be doing something other than playing MC right now.

Good point, but this would require the average hacker to randomly decide that the victim is keeping their information in their minecraft save. Although, I wouldn't suggest anyone who replied to this thread to ever use this method, if a hacker saw this thread and developed a program to find the book data, he would know who to hack first...

I'd be more worried about spyware made by hackers to steal my passwords. I doubt people have made spyware that can properly check the region files. Again, the books are hidden deep within the region folder.

Keeping personal info in minecraft books might actually be a good idea. After poking around in my world file with NBTedit, i can confirm that the book data is hidden pretty deep in the region folder of your save. It seems that it would be hard for a hacker to find it since he would have to know the exact chunk you hid the book in.

P.S. I'm not worrying about the NSA simply because 1. i have nothing to hide, 2. There are worse people than the government to be tracked by.
