have you had any different texture packs downloaded? the animation for higher resolution graphics is actually pretty stressfull to your computer. ex) 128x128 is 4 times as laggy as 64x64 around water and lava.
I dont have any texture packs. The only thing not vanilla about my minecraft is that i have mo'creatures on it, and it was running fine yesterday when i installed the mod :sad.gif:

I went into the debug interface and the latency graph showed continuous short latency spikes that occur once every few seconds. HELP!! :sad.gif:
(Btw, i tried turning down all the graphical settings)
