I know I'll probably get told to go away or something like that, but could you explain ModLoader for me? I have absolutely no clue how to do it/get it. When I search it, it just gives me a list of mods, not how to use ModLoader, or what it is :/
Search for it on the forums, there's a thread for it. Risugami's Mods or something along those lines. Instructions on how to install modloader are in that thread too.
And here's a suggestion for a future tutorial I'd like to see. Saplings! I've seen a handful of tutorials on trees, but I haven't come across one that ties in saplings yet.
That said, one design that I use a lot is a two story "L" shaped house, and I throw a deck on the second floor that extends from the inside of the L to the end. If that makes any sense at all.
Kinda like that. But with the scale not totally off, haha
It might have to do with your version of OSX. If you're running OSX 10.5 (Leopard), using modloader (and maybe other mods?) will do this. Download a program called "Modified Launcher 10.5", and it should work from there. I don't remember where I found the thing, so just Google for it. Good luck :biggrin.gif:
Are you planning on having people from outside your house play on the server? If so, you're gonna have to go into your router and portforward 25565 (or whichever port you'd like).
If not, and you want it to be you only and maybe someone else in your house to play on the server, just double click on the Minecraft_server.jar and let it run. It will give you "NOT ENOUGH RAM" warnings but just ignore them if you're only going to have a couple players.
Yea, I'm just using it for two laptops in my house. Got it working, thanks for the help!
I'm having trouble getting the server going, any chance you could help? I'm just trying to use it for two computers in my home. I ran the server.jar and all the files are in the directory I put it in but I'm kind of confused as to where to go from here. Thanks in advance :biggrin.gif:

Apparently the new lighting engine uses OpenGL 1.3, while Macs running 10.5.8 only have OpenGL 1.2
And unfortunately, the only fix right now seems to be to upgrade your OS.

I really wish this would get fixed...

Definitely! Write out some more descriptions, I'll see what comes to mind.

Sounds interesting though... I might give it a shot.
