You'll definitely have to compromise and go for a much cheaper computer. All the obvious ways: Attempt to get an allowance and start saving, ask for a computer/money for your birthday, etc.
Getting a computer sooner than later is a much better decision. Shoot for maybe at least a $500 laptop. $1,950 is two months worth of my salary. That amount of money could feed a five member family for at least a year. You need to get realistic here.

You should never buy a gaming computer. You should seriously just build one yourself. It's fun to make your own computer, you'll learn more about parts and such, and save money.

I thought about losing faith in humanity when i only saw one person in this thread likes Breaking Bad. Breaking bad is hands (or nubs... if you don't have any hands) down the best TV show in existence. Bryan Cranston is brilliant.
Peep Show is a British show that i recently found. The first few seasons really made me laugh, very enjoyable to watch.
(The above shows are all on Netflix instant streaming, so get the **** off here and watch them if you haven't!)

If you just installed a new mod and got this problem, then remove that mod.
OR if you just updated minecraft, then one of your mods could not be compatible anymore. I'd then suggest to remove all mods and slowly add them back in one by one. Test the game each time you add a mod to find out which one is the culprit.
I'm not entirely sure yet but I think playing in a smaller screen (playing without fullscreening Minecraft) helps it run a little faster.
Playing the game at lower resolutions is a good way to improve performance.
- Stop all unnecessary processes with task manager, and close all other programs.
- Update your graphics card drivers
- If you have a 64 bit OS (On windows you can check by right-clicking Computer > Properties. It will tell you under System Type), make sure you are using 64 bit Java. Downloads here. This will make minecraft "large address aware", so it can use up to 4GB of RAM.
- Lowering your computer's screen resolution to 1024x768 (that is, if it is above this resolution) will help too.

Too bad it easily becomes trivial. Minecraft isn't the best in large doses.
