Oct 5, 2013Cambian posted a message on Saturday with Sach: My First Nightcan't remember my first time. but the earliest memories i have are of endless snow worlds where it was perpetually snowing. i loved them, and have missed them ever since they were removed. snow came back with biomes, but it's just not the same. i still miss them.Posted in: News

i was thinking the same thing. it looks like it could have been inspired by the second cube movie, hypercube. the first & third were too dark, the map looks pretty much exactly like the bright second movie though. -

also; for fun, i was scouting around the perimeter of the castle and used some carefully placed sprinting jumps to hop up on the edge, worked my way out back and sequence broke the map. i found a hole, and when i dropped down i found myself landing in the wither boss room, since i didn't use cheats or creative mode, you may want to take a look around the perimeter and touch up any places that would allow legit sequence breaking. - To post a comment, please login.

you should be able to carry as many tools/weapons/small devices as you wanted, and up to 1 material block/large device and still be able move. if you had 2 or more material blocks/large devices you should be locked in place until you crafted/placed/threw them away.
being locked in place would emulate having a lot of materials around and being able to work with them on the spot, but prevent you from taking them all with you at once.
throwing them away and picking them up again would emulate the process of slowly carrying/dragging a lot of materials to wherever you're trying to get them without the magical bag letting you carry mountains in your pocket.
also this would give the player a great reason to use minecart chests.
the mod maker would have to use their own discretion as to what a small device or a large device is.
this mod should be fairly simple to make. i just don't know how to mod.
also, beyond this, an ambitious mod maker could expand the concept to allow other things to limit steve's bag of holding somehow. like adding weight to things, and having a limit and/or slowing movement depending on how much is being carried. this isn't necessary though. just a thought.
just something i think could make for an interesting experience.

second, it might make things easier or unnecessarily complicated, but there's a custom launcher here that simplifies mod management if you can figure out how to use it. it makes it so you can download all the mods you want and put them all in a folder instead of messing around with the jar, then use the launcher to check compatibility and customize your loadout before letting it automatically install the compatible mod combination. if that didn't make it easy enough, it's always got the default loadout, so even if you do somehow mess it up again, it always has a working vanilla version ready to launch. it is different from the normal launcher though so even though it simplifies mod management, it would require that you learn how to use it. anyway, that's just my 2 cents. hope it helps enhance your kids experience.
