I know that things like added structures will be different, but I'm talking about the generated world in general. Say I have a seed with an awesome mountain with 3 waterfalls. Will that same cool mountain with 3 waterfalls still generate if I restart the seed in TU14?
Yep, biomes won't shift until the 1.7 PC equivalent update. Since we are getting 1.3.1 in TU14. Biomes will stay the same for a long time to come.
It's boring because we haven't received a real update since August 2013 ...
Meanwhile the PC version is already on 1.7.2 I believe. It's quite sad actually considering when we all bought Minecraft in May 2012, we thought that we'd at least somehow catch up to the PC. Back then we were sitting at 1.7.3 BETA and the PC was around 1.2.3 or the 1.3 update. Now look at us today in 2014. We are sitting at 1.2.3 and the PC is sitting at 1.7.2 ... we probably will never catch up. From May 2012 to January 2014, we are still as behind from when Minecraft on the Xbox first released. Kind of pathetic when you think about it.
Hey minecrafters, I was wondering if you guys think it would be likely to see our DLC transfer over to the xbox one. I plan on buying some skins and texture packs this Saturday. The only problem is xbox one minecraft is probably coming out early 2014 and I'm planning on switching over. You think there is a point in buying them now? Or is there a possibility that 4j and Microsoft will be making us repurchase the DLC to scrounge off a couple dollars off us? Thoughts?
Thanks to everyone who have been posting coordinates for places of interest! I'm glad I shared this seed here because I had no idea it would become so popular!
I just want all the world generation parts (all the biomes and core natural blocks that will be used in the game) done first... things that spawn, can be built, and functionality can always be added later.
We really need to get the witch hut in the next update because I believe that was the last generated structure added to Minecraft before 1.7 comes out. That way for 1.5 when nether quartz is released, we can simply restart the nether and obtain quartz at our own leisure. It's getting very tiresome to continuously load up new worlds every time a title update comes out. Please just give us witch huts with the temples in the next update so we can load up the world and never have to make a new world until 1.7 comes out.
What we may get from 4J:
1. Anvils
2. Horses
3. The Wither (since the heads are in the game already)
4. New types of food such as; carrots, potatoes, and pumpkin pie
5. Infected villagers
6. Carrot on a stick
I'v looked at almost 150 seeds in the last 24 hours then gave up spent less than one minute on the forums
and found this seed , Best seed of TU12 so far !!! ( have fun navigating the stronghold in survival ) lol
TY CallMeCraters awesomeness indeed
Yep, the ravine makes it a challenge when navigating through the stronghold lol.
Wish the map finally posted, it looks like a pretty decent amount of everything I like, namely it having a small snow portion, if it has trees... I'll have to check this one out sometime.:D
The snow biome has a plentiful amount of spruce trees, so don't worry.
Thanks for the info! Here's a gallery of some screenshots I took this morning if you want to throw any of these up there: http://mcxphotos.com...524070073114809
Thanks for the screenshots! Appreciate it very much.
This sounds promising; I'll have to check this seed out (it'd be awesome if you could return the favor). If you do want someone to post pics, then I'll do that for you while I'm at it!
EDIT: Though, as an aside, I don't consider snow and desert biomes to be ugly. Sand has so many practical applications in traps and redstone and also makes glass. Who doesn't love snowballs?
Also, is there a mineshaft and at least 1 pumpkin patch?
Like I've stated above, there is a desert village in the world, located towards the mid west section of the world. There is also an average sized snow biome at spawn with tons of spruce trees.
When I previewed the world in creative, I found a mineshaft towards the top left corner of the map and another one located at the bottom right portion of the world (below a forest biome). As for pumpkin patches, I've found a patch of 4 near the desert village on a nearby mountain. I also found a small patch near the top right corner of the world inside a forest biome that borders a jungle. You can also find pumpkin + melon seeds in the mineshafts.
People need to know the difference between snowy forest and snowy plains. Just wasted time on an "all biomes" see with no dark wood trees on it at all.
My bad, don't worry. There is a sufficient amount of spruce trees to be collected in the world. All four types of tree are present in this world.

6. Desert themed villages

Go to the middle of the map where you'll find a village surrounded by jungles.

Its a very small snow biome that has the spruce trees growing in them. You could sprint through the biome in under a minute and be on the other side.
