This Thread What is your favorite thing to do in Minecraft? I like to build and optimize contraptions for quality-of-life and resource gathering. My favorite things to design are fortified villages, and fast travel systems. I don't tend to use much redstone. What is your favorite/preferred base/building style? My bases are usually towers for space efficiency. I build primarily with function in mind but I know how to make things look pretty good too. I started MC back in alpha so I'm used to building in the old-school style with lots of stone, wood, and glass, though I've branched out more recently. What is your favorite memory you have made in Minecraft? I set up a private modded server with friends which we played on for a few months. We built a fantasy town with modded blocks and explored mods like Twilight Forest. What aspect of vanilla gameplay draws you towards SMP? Single player is boring but it's difficult to find quality servers these days. I don't like how many of the big servers are massive hub servers for minigames and all kinds of gamemodes, they seem more focused on trying to do a bit of everything at the expense of a strong community. A lot of survival servers have lots of plugins and gameplay modifications that I don't like as they mess with balance or just clutter the experience. The vanilla experience achieves elegance through simplicity. Outside of Minecraft, what kinds of activities/hobbies do you enjoy? Digital art, writing music, writing code, sometimes writing words.
