    Hi,
I hope you'll forgive me, but 84 pages....

    Mmhmm, what should I do?

sp614x didn't update that section of the instructions in ages. Follow AtomicStyker's ones. (Optifine first)

@MagicHP : No matter what AtomicStryker does, his mod changes base classes of Minecraft, therefore MCPatcher is the only way his mod can actually be compatible with other mods, and that is actually the other developers fault, because they all rely on overwriting these same base classes.
If every modder used MCPatcher/DXNitro's patcher, there would be less compatibility issues.

Mets toi ça dans le crâne.

omg, why not to make it simple drag-n-drop to 'mods' folder -_- and the same option for multimine

That's what the bloody non mc-patcher version is!

I believe those stop structures of any kind from spawning

Well they sure don't stop villages from spawning, thankfully.

i had mcpatcher installed, meta-inf deleted, wanted to install mods - crashed for good.
so i used my backup version 1.1 vanilla.
installed the mods - everything fine.
so it has been the mcpatcher, as there hasnt been anything else done with the installation.

I'd be amazed to know how the bloody hell you got MCPatcher to be installed when it's an installer itself, and not an actual installable program.

little noobish question but I want to rebind it to the '=' I filled id it but that doesn't word what should I put in

Try "EQUAL" (without quotes), if it fails, go in the game controls and assign something to the '=' then copy the string that's displayed there.

Can't wait... this is the only mod I know that allow rotating stairs... having the option to put reverse stair = way better design possibilites, dont know why there is no other mod giving this...

Rather than to complicate your life with RedPower, you could try Kaevator's super slopes mod. He does have all kinds of stairs in additions to the slopes in his mod :smile.gif:

How do I uninstall this mod? It shouldn't be made public if it doesn't work.

I'd say people shouldn't be downloading mods if they don't know how to use a PC. This mod's been working for thousands of people over 3 major versions of Minecraft, y'know.

Firstly, I have to say that this is a great mod, and an excellent alternative to TMI.
Secondly, NEI 1.1.1 is causing a crash when openening the inventory in creative mode (on SSP, couldn't try it on SMP)

Here's the (relevant) error stack :

Yes, Minecraft just overwrites the options.txt with the current known values. I could fix OptiFine to preserve the unknown options, but vanilla will always do it.

A bit offtopic, but what about making Optifine save its own options in a separate file than options.txt?

I think he meant versus manually adding mods directly into the minecraft.jar file as opposed to using MCPatcher to modify the minecraft.jar file for you.

Magic Launcher doesn't actually "insert" anything into the minecraft.jar file. It doesn't mod the actual minecraft.jar file in any way.

I already know all of this, what I meant is that Dynamic Lights, being in the MCPatcher format, makes it impossible to install the mod with Magic Launcher, which would explain why so many people are asking for the old format :wink.gif:

It's disturbing how many people would rather fuzz with manually inserting class files over using a one click tool.

Well, it's not really disturbing, most of those who use custom launchers such as Magic Launcher (me included) would logically prefer having the good old jar file modifying, cause it actually is even easier to manage mods that way.
Not that I'm complaining about you using MC Patcher here.
