This mght be quite simple realy, just edit the world generation file, and make the max ocean deep to as low as you want.
Well now, the underlying problem is that the light suddenly goes dark after a few blocks.
Oceancraft is planning on solving that and more. Its going to be a fully developed generator, from what the mod team is saying. As far as I know anyways.
Hi im looking for a mod that when i genorte a new world the world will have deeper/better oceans. Is there already a mod for 1.7.2 like this and if not can someone please make one bacause i know literaly 50 people who want it.
Thanks :smile.gif:
My double post response:
Can you name those 50 people?

There is one being worked on. I'm not sure what it was called, might have been Oceancraft, but I think it's located in the request section.
Hmm. What were the specific URL's you visited? Could you paste the avast logs too?
Unfortunately, it doesn't log this type of alert. It simply blocks the site entirely. I do have a screencap, however.
The link is: http://www.djoslin.info/finiteliquid.php HOWEVER any part on the site at all triggers the exact same response.
False positive; either a rouge advertisement (you REALLY should be using adblock plus) or infection. Simply having Avast active doesn't mean you're safe. :U
I don't just use Avast, for your information. I also use Zone alarm, Adaware, and Malware Bytes.
Well yes, I'm sure there is, but how much of a difference can be made to a website in a couple days that would set this off? I've had no fail entering the site until just today.
I would say don't be quick to call this off as a false positive until some research is done.
EDIT: A redirect has been confirmed for the site, and the author of the mods will be notified as soon as possible.
Recently the site hosting the Finite Liquids has triggered a Trojan Horse response from Avast antivirus.
For those of you who want to do the research, the infection was called "js iframe-AC trojan."
There are numerous sites explaining this, including Microsoft Microsoft Encyclopedia Trend Micro Encyclopedia
It's probably advised at this point to avoid the site.
Well ok, what I'm wondering is why everyone insists on making a shield separate from the sword? Wouldn't that theoretically be much to difficult to configure than just mapping it to the right click of a sword item?
Really just a thought, but what if one could make a type of chest that would act like any other, but the items you place in it can be accessed from another chest of the same type?
A chest with a different texture, for one thing. It would mean that you could be on one point on the map, far away from your base and you need access to the items you put in that chest. You would just make a bank chest, and access those items.
Clearly, this would only be a useful addition as a mod. I wouldn't suggest this for Vanilla Minecraft, but just a content mod.
I think shields should be implemented into vanilla Mincraft, but I think one could come up with a better recipe, as that one looks rather odd (nothing about it says "Shield!").
Maybe the armor recipe, but with the bottom left and right corners taken out?
The point is that a shield would not work well as a stand alone item or recipe, but rather with a sword. The only practical usage at all would be with a sword. It would complicate things to make a stand-alone shield recipe, and add so much more iron ingots to the equation, and then have to combine the two items.
Another idea would be to craft ingots with an already made sword, instead of having to make the two items alone. One could just make a sword, and then combine it with ingots to make the combo. It would require a few more ingots though.
I am totally with you! We need more blocks and other things in the Nether!
Didn't he mention they would kill zombies and wolves and anything not Darkspawn? That would mean in a normal surface world, these "tainted" blocks would corrupt an otherwise normal area. I don't know about you, but I would like my ores to remain safe. I actually wouldn't like anything destroying or changing the world already made. Like if creepers spawned in lower levels and just randomly exploded, I wouldn't like it.
The one thing I don't like about the idea in general is the amount of detail in these characters. Minecraft has a general feeling to it: A man, animals, zombies, skeletons; Just general things. These darkspawns seem a bit to detailed to fit into the Minecraft universe.
Plus: I don't like the idea of taking a fully developed idea from another game and transplanting it into Minecraft.
I'm not trolling or anything, just being honest about what I think. It does seem you have thought it through though, so more power to you.
I just had this idea about incorporating a shield into a sword recipe.
The main idea is for whatever material sword is being made, the same material would be used for the shield.
I would think that the most practical usage would be to right click and hold to use the shield, and make the sword unusable while shielding.
To avoid making things too easy, the durability would take a decent hit for every attack it absorbs, similar to armor, only that it shares the same meter as the sword.
Whether or not this idea has been thought of already, I have no idea. I haven't found it anywhere, so I'm not sure at all. I just thought it would be a practical mod.

Not sure whats causing the crash, but here's my process:
I do a clean install of Minecraft
I install Modloader
I Patch it with the Mcpatcher HD patcher
I install this mod
Crash.

Alright, well Avast keeps freaking out. If everyone believes its clean, then no problem. I'll edit the main post.
