I worked it out. Downloaded the jre7u67 tarball from Oracle, emptied the /lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk/jre folder and filled it with the files inside the only folder in the tarball. Everything's fine now. Thanks a lot for the tips.
Same issue here. I read the thread baldios999 pointed to. Interesting, but...
I copied the cacerts file from both an old Windows 7 x64 Java 7 Update 60 installation AND Oracle's very own jre7 tarball, and I still get this dang error no matter what.
Also tried installing both Oracle's and OpenJDK runtimes, no good. Plus, I've also tried using both the AUR minecraft package AND Mojang's launcher, no good.
Thoughts? I don't know, Minecraft worked flawlessly on Fedora a month ago. Hmph.
Bruno,
Once you banned FreeGamer, his friends thought it would be nessisary to greif my builds. I think it was EmoWings, and a player with the name "awesome" in is IGN. He was the person that threw a fit when you banned Free_Gamer I have screenshots, but they wont go on chat for some reason. I think you should just come see it.
Cheers,
ThisManMines
Both idiots have been banned and the griefing has been taken care of.
They never learn, do they?
Hey. I'm Luke Costello, and my IGN is ForgottenSpork. I've been playing Minecraft since forever, haha. I actually bought the game in Alpha, but had like 1 year of experience in Classic before that.
I still want to know, why building Optifine on a version with a rendering bug? (The bed rendering bug in 1.7.2) Could you please make the next version or the one after the next one for 1.7.4 or make it fix this bug? My beds look awful if I use Optifine (which is 1.7.2 only), but the chunk loading is horrible if I switch to 1.7.4 D:
Yes it does. With OF, all the bed side textures seem inverted, and without it, they don't.
Try it yourself, install OF and place a bed and look at its sides.
Now do the same without OF.
I test things before posting them, thank you very much. ¬¬

But in my 1.7.2 client without OF the beds looks fine.
Edit: my bad, wa susing the wrong version.
Another request then. Since OF is for 1.7.2, can you fix this 1.7.2 bug for the 1.7.2 release or make the installer use 1.7.4 instead?
