First started off with FreeBASIC, then to Visual Basic, then to Java.

Also spending some time with HTML & CSS to build a website.

But I am not an expert in any of these by any means, but I am continuing to improve in Java and HTML & CSS.

    +1
will max out Minecraft at over 60fps.

Don't look at Ghz, they practically mean nothing unless you are looking at the two CPU/GPU from the same family (even then there still could be wild factors that a lower clocked one could outperform the higher clocked one)

While is a personal touch, it is also one that can affect performance. The Source 210 may only have 1 fan, but has great airflow and I can vouch that the build quality is great for the price.

OP - If you haven't bought the case already, you can get the Source 210 Elite for $50 (did not realize the price difference was so small) and gives you great airflow from the Source 210 with two fans instead of one with USB 3.0 Front Ports (which your motherboard can support).

OP - If you did already buy it, the slight difference really isn't worth it (unless you can cancel order online without a hitch). Though if having USB 3.0 in the front is that useful for you, that could also warrant you to cancel your order.

Cases are one of those personal touches that can actually affect performance. A nice looking case could be a melting pot for your hardware if you chose poorly. While the Source 210 (and Elite) aren't the best cases, they are good for the price with a build quality to match.

Though Spartan's and Haku's method would have been optimal

    Sweet, thanks a ton guys!

I never expected to get my questions answered this good, much less so fast!

You're welcome. I hope it goes out well for you.

Also, you can switch the case Source 210 Window to just the plain Source 210 since its cheaper but doesn't have a window. That is again personal and purely for aesthetics, but I just want to give you a heads up on that because I personally would go for a windowless case for these types of builds.

I did mention something along the lines of a mic or a headset with mic combo for recording voice.

OP, other than that, the build is solid and you got all the peripherals you need (though you could always switch out the keyboard, mouse, and speakers, but that is more of personal preference and doesn't effect performance)

Remember that he also wants no lag+recording on the amplified terrain. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but they do warn that it "requires a beefy computer" to play smoothly. Anyway I have an FX-6300 and a Radeon 7870 and I get a solid 60 FPS on the amplified terrain.

Even with amplified terrain, the build should have no problems reaching solid and reasonable FPS and easily 60fps if you turn the render distance down a bit(you may not even have to).

And I think you are only getting 60FPS because you have V-Sync turned on probably. A 7870 really shouldn't have any trouble getting more than that.

EDIT: Just Tried Amplified with my FX4300 + Radeon 6670 (A10 should have around the same performance in Minecraft at least).Got an average of 70 (highest 80) FPS maxed out on everything.

Do you have a copy of windows? (If it's OEM it can only be used once IIRC)
    If you do: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/29GlU
If you don't: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/29Gry (Over budget if you don't use mail in rebates, but it's the best I can do without sacrificing a lot of performance. The graphics card is weaker then in the first build)

Seriously recommending this for somebody who won't even use all of the performance?

Includes everything you will need (except a mic which you can get with a good headset for recording voice)
Around the same price as above, but has everything you need to have a functional computer.
Plus, it has a 550W PSU which will handle anything you do if you want to upgrade to a dedicated graphics card.

NOTE: this is still overkill for your needs, so don't think you are going to need anymore than this.

What? Nowhere did I say anything like "It's Corsair, it's good".
What I meant by "Corsair PSUs are not fire hazards at all" was that even though the CX line is Corsair's lowest, it won't catch fire. The quality isn't great, but it's not as horrible as you make it out to be. They are power supplies. They supply power. They last pretty long and will not burst into flames. They are in no way "fire hazards".
People here need to realize that SeaSonic isn't the only brand that makes non fire hazard PSUs.

which why i said it was a bit of a sketch to emphasize my point. They probably wont catch fire, but nevertheless, it isn't the best PSU line. XFX PSU that I had listed is not only cheaper but of a higher build quality. Thus, I see no point in continuing this argument any further

    What?
The CX series are not "fire hazards". They aren't SeaSonic, but they're decent and won't catch fire like Thermaltake and such.

fire hazard may be a stretch, their reliability and quality is nevertheless lacking. I care about the quality, not some name associated with it.

Even if it was an "okay" PS, that doesnt change the fact that the XFX would beat it in reliability and build quality.

Plus its cheaper. (XFX is 550W but is still over what you are going to use
