posted a message on Scale Techne Model Partially
How can I scale part of my Techne model so that other parts will remain unchanged? My armor model was fairly smaller than what I had expect, but only a part of the model I have a problem with. I tried GL11 scales in the render method; however, that scales it all.

    Thanks in advance.

It's in alpha. What do you think I've been doing

    Next release will be 1.7.2
Also if I've not bragged about mentioned yet that nukes will have realistic smoke plumes that interact with one another and that all particles will be gpu accelerated - that

Damn. Nice job on this mod. Personally, I think you should focus more on the content and functionality first and then work on optimization and cool technical stuff after. Thats just my opinion though. Either way, can't wait for the later versions (and eventually official release)

Though, if you pull this off, I'll buy you a beer (or soda depending on your age).

If you want to do that, but not everyone wants to risk their parts. That should never be something that we recommend: "Well, you could get Product A but Product B is cheaper and will be the same if you overclock"

Plus Product B will be better too if you overclock, so yeah, Product B is still be better.

posted a message on Which Lenovo Laptop Should I Get For Gaming And School
The Y510P is probably the best laptop in his price range. For $1200 (on the side, click more models), you get a 4th gen Core i7 which helps alot with battery consumption, NVIDIA GTX 755M in SLI (which will kill your battery life, but just make sure to plug it in when playing games), 8GB of RAM which is all you ever need for just gaming and light productivity, Blu-Ray drive if you use those, a 1080P screen that looks better than most imo, and Windows 8 that can be upgraded to 8.1 for free. And its sleek.

I took a quick glance at it, while you could get something around the same price with a bit better gpu, the sli 755m will be able to outperform it.

But if you can, I would wait for the Y50 to be release because apparently it will be much better and have models with 4K displays (though you won't be able to game in 4K at reasonable framerate so you will have to switch down to 1080P res)

By "Best" Do you mean realistic or simply the best possible thing?

I interpret it as the best possible gift that you can actually imagine yourself getting (so the average person who has a logical mind cannot expect getting two or three Lamborghinis and a mansion)

    Quote from karlzhao314

My vote goes to Chromecast as well. 35 bucks can't get you anything much cooler or more useful.

I should go buy one to try it out. Though I wouldn't have much use for it since I mainly use youtube and that I can do with my PC (but its only $35 so why not, I could always give it to somebody else as a gift if I dont like it)

Depends on what headphones you have now.

Only the finest of finest there is to offer

    It is.....

The earbuds that came with my Samsung Galaxy S4 derp.

And besides, I am getting a pair of headphones either way, just wondering if I should get just a good headphone for $80 or a okayish $30 headphone with a external DAC.

My budget is around $80 and I was wondering if it would be better to get something like the Panasonic RP-HTX7 with a FiiO E10 DAC and AMP or if I should just spend the full $80 on overall better headphones (looking at the Sennheiser Black HD 429)?

My onboard audio is nothing special (MSI G43-970A..i think) so how much better would it be if I got the FiiO E10?

(Also, any way to use the E10 as just a portable amp with Android via an OTG cable?)

No, it's a forced meme by the entirety of OT to try and be "edgy".

I'll try to use it, if I remember. If I don't, I could care less.

So I wont be able to get an FX with fm2+ correct?

no you won't. FX is only for AM3+
FX line is going to be discontinued (according to leaked roadmap) anyways.
FM2+ would be your bet for a longer platform lifespan (unless they move to another whole new platform like FM3+)

Then the game would be unplayable.

hz = revolutions per second (simplifed explenation) or the amount of time it takes a electromagnetic wave to compress and decompress once.
    1 fps = 1 hz = 1 revolution per second

So 5hz = 5fps which means that there are more frames being dropped per milisecond than in Ikea after someone crashed a trolley into a isle.

Plus the lowest refresh rate monitor I've seen was 20hz. Most are 60hz. Or less without drivers.

I was joking.... Maybe I should go limit my fps and play minecraft at 5fps for a day just for the hell of it.

Have you got vSync on? I have 8gb ram, I usualy get about 140 fps but with vSync I get a very laggy 5 fps. Btw that is with everything else on full.

You dont seem to have your video card drivers installed.

or he could have a monitor with a 5hz refresh rate derp.
