Actually, if it's a java problem, it could, in fact, affect Minecraft and nothing else (If you play no other Java games). I have been doing tech support for a very, very long time (since before VGA cards were invented) and your statement that it was obviously not a computer problem was ingenuous, to say the least.

And motherofmayhem, Your opinion is noted, and wrong. People got MIGRAINES from this. Obviously you do not suffer from the affliction, but my wife got one and it SUCKS.

The April fools fiasco was a terrible idea, many people spent hours trying to repair their computer, and many people are complaining of Migraines from the 'tunnel vision lighting' effect. It backfired hard. No one should be fired, but at the very least an apology and promise not to do something this ill-conceived should be offered.

I suppose you can disconnect from the internet while you play.

Some of the april fool's updates were amusing... It's just THIS particular one that was horrendously bad. Like Kendall Jenner's Pepsi Ad.

Do you not consider the following comments insults?

"It seems to me some people can't take a joke. I can hardly believe you don't have anything to do at all besides playing minecraft."
    "Stop your whining. "
    "not to mention downright immature."
"Shows the immaturity of the minecraft community"
"If you are calling this a "stunt", please don't show up playing on my team in any game, you clearly have no sense of humor. "
"You're saltiness reminds me of my friend's"
"My daddy owns Microsoft and he's gonna sew Mojang for the terrible texturepack cause u guys made me cry."

Do I consider these people jerks? Absolutely. Every bit as much as the 'lern2play' jerks or the 'carebear server' jerks. There was a legitimate problem that people were having, particularly with the 'tunnel vision' tweak. These comments were all made prior to my even showing up in the thread. Apparently Minecraft was not the only thing having a problem with tunnel vision.

It's over now, but Mojang would do well to apologize for their mistake. And frankly, while we are technically still on topic, I am tired of dealing with your hurt feels for my 'insensitivity'.

Stop making this about your feelings. I am perfectly calm. It appears that resource packs with their own light effects were not affected by the 'patch'.

People wasted many hours of their sunday, and in many cases got migraines, from this extraordinarily unfunny 'joke'. What kind of sociopath doesn't understand that?

BTW, even WITH a texture pack, the migraine-inducing 'concentric light circle' effect still existed.

posted a message on [1.7.10] Ancient Warfare [Forge][SMP][WIP][D/L]

Man, I loved this mod, even without the weapons.

It did a bunch of awesome stuff in an awesome way, and was a good way to use up the 'food splurge' without stupid hacks like spice of life.

The alternative 'city building' mods nowadays, like the new Minecolonies, minesim, and harvest festival, instead of providing a 'medieval-style industrial mod', suck all your work and resources into supporting your 'city' rather than providing a fun, manpower-intensive way to automate the tasks like fishing, mining, defense, and farming.

The closest thing to it is thaumcraft golems, and those come at the end of a miserable research slog and do nothing to help the lonely feel of a minecraft world.

I really wish someone could pick this up or work something similar. I LIKED arming and equipping my troops, setting up automated resource management with messengers running around, and building a really FUNCTIONAL settlement without magic boxes, sorcerous technology, or ultra-tech generators and pipes.

Like a prior poster, I cannot get a modular generator to create anything other than 1RF/T. Is there something I am missing?

Is it because there are multiple fuel supplies?

Hello. I had downloaded this awesome mod for mn 1.7.10, and saw a few mistakes.. After some time, when minions are doing a strip mine, are dissapearing, but still working. Idk what's going on :p. And i can't set correct place to dig minecshaft (only 1 level down, all the rest, is up to my had). I dont really know, what can i do with taht ;/

It's not a bug, it's a feature. I respectfully suggest you use them for nothing but mineshafts, as they have too many features when performing other tasks. They haven't been feature-free since 1.6.4. Good legacy mod, though.

    a little request:

Many heftier modpacks contained their own transmission and transport methodology. They also tend to contain enhanced mineral content and ore multiplication, among other things.

Tubes is ideal for a smaller-footprint modpack, with it's specialty focus solely on transportation. It is a decent addition to modpacks that restrict access to materials as well...

The problem is that some recipes (liquid extraction tube, filter tube, compression tube) are a bit overpriced in low resource and specialty packs, like skyblock and other harsh survival style maps.

Is there a possibility you could include a 'cheaper alternative recipe' toggle in the config? It is a little depressing to have to add a hefty mod like minetweaker to change the recipes to something more in line with vanilla minecraft to make such an otherwise useful mod valuable on a tough survival server (Most skyblock players would rather save the iron and redstone, even in the long term, and use a bucket than spend 11 iron, 2 gold, 3 redstone, and a sand block to make a single fluid extractor to keep their generator with lava fuel running their automatic sieve at a very, very slow rate)

Maybe something like an extractor + 1 bucket +2 lapis for fluid extractor, a gold+2 iron + piston + tube for a compressor, and a redstone circuit, +4 grates, +4 tubes for a filter?

Uranium? That gives me an idea.

Fresh test world with no changes in mods or configs:

Crash as soon as anything is placed in a running extractor.

Taken out BigReactors, since the crash references tile.brOre.0:0, which is probably BigReactors Yellorite Ore (and a Uranium clone):

    No crash

Put BigReactors back in but turned of its Yellorium/Uranium compatibility config:

    Crash

Restore BR config but turn off only AOBD RC Yellorium compatibility:

    No crash.

Looks like the issue here was AOBD overwriting RotaryCraft's own Yellorite -> Uranium recipe.

Meh, I was never a fan of reactors in MC. I run a steampunk pack, and Immersive engineering, Railcraft steam, and random additions windmills create lots and lots of thematically appropriate RF power without messing around with cooling rods and meltdowns. Then again, that's the whole reason I play with AOBD.

Honestly, without running world-destroying mods like quarries I cannot really see any reason for the sheer numbers that big reactors provides... once you build an RF convertor (or Ten) you can produce enormous juice.
