You might be lagging. A lot.
That's the most common scenario when ever your case happens from my knowledge and experience so far. As to how to fixing it, I'd try to find a way to get a better internet connection.
Of course, I could be entirely wrong.
I think reborn is right, or at least close. That seems to be the cause for me when I'm lagging hard. Have you tried rebooting your whole computer? I know it seems to be too simple, but that almost always works for me :smile.gif:
I installed it right. Oh wait, there's a large body of water around me. Is that why Bad Mobs aren't spawning? AND WHAT TYPE OF LAND DO THEY SPAWN ON?
Well, depending on how close to the water you are that may be making a difference. For example, if you're right up next to the water on all sides (less than 24 blocks between you and the water), and the area is well lit, hostile mobs won't spawn nearby.
From what I can tell, mobs won't spawn on ice, glass, water, stairs or leaves. (but leaves is debatable, I had a tree full of creepers that they may have just climbed up :3)
Every tool, depending on what material it's made out of, has a limited number of uses. Wood is the weakest, followed by gold, then stone, then iron, then diamond. You can see your tools' health by looking at that bar on the bottom of the screen. Under each tool is a little bar that gets smaller and smaller and fades from green to red as you use the tool. When it reaches its maximum number of uses, the tool breaks and you have to make another.
The same applies to flint and steel, fishing rods, etc.

I'm sorta torn. The idea of breeding them and moving them around seems pretty cool. But I'm so used to infinite mobs it would be really alien to me. . .
I found a wolf one day. Nothing special. Tamed it, stuck it in my mountain home. Left my house, mined stuff, killed zombies, etc. When I got back to my house, a half-dozen wolves had spawned outside my house. I tamed them all and stuck them in my house. Next day? it happened again. A dozen wolves, running around untamed on my house and the surrounding blocks. It was insane.

if you're not playing on a cracked version of the game (shame shame if you are), there's no reason that should be happening.
